Lake Vermillion has been a pretty good smallmouth fishery for many years. If I’m not mistaken the fifth issue of the In Fisherman Magazine, smallmouth in Canadien Shield lakes, printed in the mid 70s had on the cover a photograph of Al and a resort owner with a stringer of big smallmouth laying on a rock on the shore of Lake Vermillion. That issue of the magazine might even have been written in a cabin at that resort. I still have that issue of the magazine.

Zebra mussels sound great!

Vermilion has some good spots for smallies ,nothing against them but walleye are what people want for a fish fry and the jumbo perch are even better.Fishing just doesn't seem as good, some of the lakes like Winne are walleye lakes , if mussels take hold there heavy what kind of fishing will it be? And commercial walleye fishing like Red lakes and a few others ,one time no walleyes were allowed to be kept there and 4 a day with slots you get 14-15" walleye a perch has more meat on it, it can take years for lakes to ajust , I just hope I live long enough to see the new fishing.

Mark, I have interacted with the Lindner's and watched their videos for decades. They professionally represent themselves and their business partners. I find your comments objectionable. I am curious how you can tell the sexual preference of each guest over the many decades they have been in the business. If their production troubles you, you can easily find what will satisfy your needs on the NET.
