Try putting your method mould in a small plastic bag. as will make filling your method far easier as pellets and groundball won't stick if to wet plus also works when bait gets to dry

How much groundbait/pellets does the distance method feeder hold? I Don't want to cast a too heavy weight with my rod.

When Method fishing, it is a good idea to have a shallow bend in the rod to reduce the chance of the feeder being moved. However a slight bend is needed to prevent the fish cracking off the hooklength.

Great vid guys I was just wondering where to cast the method when you have no features in front of you and want to save the margins for later on..not on a massive lake like boddington but on a smallish lake that’s really deep in the middle Also, is the method a good tactic down the edge? Thanks in advance

Hi Adam, Look for signs of fish moving, usually towards the centre of the lake. That’s a safe starting point. Remember if you don’t get any indications you can always move to find some. And yes the method in the margins can be a devastating tactic.

Hi Jason, the stretch in the line will compensate for this generally and when fishing towards the island the fish generally kite out of the swim rather than take line.

Bought some of these when they fist came out BUT!!! I fish with around 7- lb hook length and to hold it in place it would need to be at least 25 - 30 lb only one of the feeders I purchased would hold the line in place!...😢

  • @UKprestoninnovations

It sounds like you're setting it up wrong? The mainline doesn't need to be that much stronger than the hooklength as it has a large amount of stretch.

Only thing i don't really understand about all this fishing guides and specially in UK area is '' Why do you guys always fish in planted fish pool areas and not in open waters where there is natural fish order. The obvious answer is - In this pool you are certain you gonna get a carp etc... Yes cool, BUT where is the challenge in that may i ask?

Why do manufacturers make 60g and heavier method feeders? They are pointless. They'll be out of balance, with anything, but a broom handle carp rod. I often fish big waters, like Ferry meadows and Boddingtons, at a distance. Too often, I see anglers struggling with feeders that are too heavy. I go into tackle shops, and find only these noob feeders left, after the clued up locals have stripped the shelves of all the useable size feeders.

  • @UKprestoninnovations

Lots of anglers use 60g Method feeders especially on large waters. We also sell a lot of feeders across Europe and the rest of the world where they require larger feeders.
