Lee Haight - How to Win a Door To Door War - Me VS My Top Rep

Everyone want's to beat me in sales contest and my top guy is no different. Recently I challenged my top contracting sales pro Jeremy Johnson to a door knocking sales contest. Fresh after softball sized hail damaged thousands of roofs in Orange Beach Alabama I made a trip to spark a new sales push. As soon as I showed up into town it started to rain on my parade , literally. So many contractors take the day off when it rains but that's not what my team does. When it rains all the other contractors stay at home while we go hardcore door to door. During this episode you will learn how to run a door to door sales blitz even in bad weather conditions. Door to door sales people love it when the owners get their hands dirty knocking doors. It inspires the troops to push hard through the no's so they can hit their goals and dominate their neighborhoods. Most contractors don't focus enough on the momentum of their teams sales push. The heartbeat of your company sales efforts depends on the activity of your team. The best way to inspire your team is to show them what's possible when you get out there and bust your ass. In this episode I bet my top guy Jeremy Johnson 1000$ to see who could sell more jobs in one hour. To even the playing field I went door to door in an ugly roofers van that looked like it belong to chester the molester. Certainly a long stretch from knocking doors in my porsche I was met with big challenges trying to keep up with my top guy. Check out this quick video about knocking in the rain and jumpstarting a brand new sales push.

I can't imagine anybody would want to sell door to door roofing unless they absolutely had no other prospects.

I can't imagine anyone who would want a 9-5 with a lid on how much income they can make and a stable source of income.

When I started my web design and SEO company (A one-man operation), I would go to coffee shops in the morning to grab a bite before going to bed. I'd then Google a business name to see if they had a website. If not, I would start a conversation with them and bring it up. Once I sold the website, I would explain to them why they need SEO for their new site. This is what I did every day , for months. Sadly, I am no longer doing that, for various reasons. But I do hope to get back into it soon, working for someone else is getting on my nerves.
