Actually the vibrato there is quite easy. That being said, this guy is a supremely skilled guitarist. I've been playing this solo for 25 years and I can only play it about 75% as awesome as he does.

Keylooh it sounds amazing, I've sometimes wondered if the video is actually of this recording, but the sound is epic. The playing, the sound quality, the quality of the improv, it's a perfect cover version & recording.

RaphaelAtherill & yes I know what you mean. I could try vibrato while bending that note a million times & it will never sound anywhere near as good as his does. That's talent.

I think this is the best guitar cover I have ever seen on KZread and I've seen a lot!

My cousin plays it on harmonica and it sounds much better

20 years from now. This will still be the best cover on YT. I came back to this vid after so many years, and wow i cant believe how many things technique wise that i picked up from this guy. He better know how much he inspires people

I don't know, I like Sean Robert's version better. I like the cleaner tone. I respect your opinion though :D

I think this is every guitarists dream to play this solo with a good band behind them in front of thousands of people. The adrenaline, the lights, the feeling. Its probably better than any drug.

For those wondering why you're seeing a decade old video, a lot of stairway to heaven stuff was copyrighted, and the videos were blocked. They removed the copyright recently, and the videos are popping back up.

After several years I still come back here to watch the best solo ever

I come back here the odd time when I need to get a smile on my face and also help younger people understand the genius of guitar work . I always tell them ( and frankly anyone I meet who plays guitar ) that this is the best cover of Stairway ever recorded . The sound , the perfection of the rhythm and tone . Jimmy Page would be proud .

Why is everyone saying numbers and why is this video getting recomended to everyone over 11 years later. Also great cover and improvisation

Classic music never gets old. Tasteful playing that combines skill and feel never gets old either.

I know that people my age have heard this song so many times since the mid 70s but this is one of my all time favorite solos

It’s on my recommended 10 years later...

13 years.... and no one has ever done a better cover. I will always come back to this. 🙌

as you should, until you can play along with him note for note, he is very skilled, the art of playing the Guitar is in his spirit as you can hear and see, try sometimes closing your eyes and try playing along with him, i know, this may sound crazy, you will be surprised, it will help you become a better player , ive done it, now i play along with him with my eyes closed through the whole song, its amazing !! his skill set is amazing, practice with him everyday,every night stay at it until you start to feel his groove , once you reach that point, you will be very Happy, you will feel really good about your self !! having achieved playing along with him, so now you must do it, and continue doing it til you,ve reached paradise !!

The solo is a great example of how to get the 4th interval more involved in your soloing. In the key of C it is the F note and it can be a pain to get that thing in there without sounding sour but this is a great case study on how to use it. I love this solo.
