Helene here. Robert Plant was asked years later if his stage persona was carefully crafted. Some of it was....he knew he was sexy as hell and one gorgeous dude, and he developed certain gestures that became associated with him. He was all about power and grace onstage. But, when asked if the person onstage was ‘someone other than yourself” he said no....that was all me.....I just FELT the music.

Jons is very good but you don't need to see him, but a Plant is imposible not looking. Bonhan was very Cool to see. Page of course was a big, very big guitarist. of all times.@@christopherone1

My very first concert was in 1969 and it was Led Zeppelin. What a great concert it was, we had great floor seats, no cheap seats for us, and if I remember right they were only about $7.50. You guys have not, it seems, experienced Bonzo yet. Watch/listen to "Moby Dick" and hear one of the greatest drummers ever. Wen I saw Zeppelin in 1969 one of the highlights of the concert for was "Moby Dick". I swear that Bonzo played at least a 15 minute drum solo, then went directly into a 15 or 20 minute version of 'Whole Lotta Love", I'll never forget.

Fellas, welcome to Led Zeppelin. The guy on the right, I FULLY UNDERSTAND YOU!! I first heard “Stairway to Heaven” July 4, 1979 and I’ve never been the same. “Since I’ve Been Loving You” is one of my 5 favorite Led Zeppelin song but there’s many, many great ones. I recommend you react to “No Quarter” from the same movie. Or just the entire movie soundtrack. Back in 1980-81, I was listening to No Quarter live and I interrupted my friend Mark who was playing air guitar to Jimmy Page and he said, “Wait a minute dude, Jimmy’s talking to me” you reminded me of him during the solo in this video when you closed eyes. Btw, I had tickets for the 1980-81 tour when Bonham died, imagine how I’ve felt for 40 years.

Such joy watching you watch that!! Your faces explained everything!! And such great comments. Yes all that power from only 4 musicians. That's Led Zeppelin magic. Their performance is so good it's almost painful. I agree - it's a work of art AND THIS IS FROM 1973 almost 50 years ago!!!!! - I think it's the greatest rock performance that I've seen, too. Their music gets inside you and this performance does that massively it gets into your nerve endings. You'll find this level of dedication in all of their concert footage. I always suggest to listen to the studio version first to get the great musicianship and production of the song. But a live performance of a song if it's available is a WHOLE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE. There is so much amazing music from them! If you really want to absorb all that LZ has to offer you should start from the beginning album and move through each one. Same for Pink Floyd. Suggestions to begin Live performances of songs from the first album: Dazed and Confused from 1970 kzread.info/dash/bejne/aoujs6apqpquf7A.html also fabulous!! great reaction,i knew you guys would like that. this concert was from madison square garden in1973, you can see this entire show somewhere on you tube. every song they played that night was amazing. we are all so lucky that it was recorded so future generations can actually see the greatest rock band of all time, and get to experience how great they were. the live version of "stairway to heaven' at this show was better than the album version. it has to be seen to be believed.

I STRONGLY second the suggestion to watch In My Time of Dying live at Earl’s Court from 1975. Another outstanding Zep interpretation of American blues.....and as you said...yes, these wonderful guys LIVE and inhabit the music...it was all about the music for them, and their renowned communication onstage and their abilities to improvise on the fly because they all had complete trust in one another’s ability to follow the jam. Remarkable artists....and honestly, some very fascinating people.

From fourt album (Led Zeppelin IV 1971): Black dog. Rock and Roll. The battle of evermore. Stairway to heaven. Misty mountain hop. Four sticks. Going to california. When the levee breaks. From fifth album ( House of the holy 1973): The song remains the same. The rain song. Over the hills and far away. The crunge. Dancing days. D'yer Mak'er. No quarter. The ocean. From the sixth album ( Physical Graffiti 1975): Custard Pie. The rover. In my time of dying. Houses of the holy. Trampled under foot. Kashmir. In the light. Bron-Yr-Aur. Down by the seaside. Ten years gone. Night flight. The wanton song. Boogie with stu. Black country woman. Sick again. From seventh album ( Presance 1976) Achilles last stand. For your life. Royal orleans. Nobody's fault but mine. Candy store rock. Hots on for nowhere. Tea for one. From eighth album ( In through the out door 1979): In the evening. South bound suarez. Fool in the rain. Hot dog. Carouselambra. All my love. I'm gonna crowl. From last album (Coda 1982) : We're gonna groove. I can't quit you baby. Poor tom. Walter's walk. Ozone baby. Darlene. Bonzo's mountreux.
