Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

Jason did an admirable job filling in for his Father, given that he was on stage with 3 of the greatest musicians to ever walk the face of the earth. For the uneducated, it is hard to explain the greatness of Zep. When Bonzo was alive, they were the undisputed kings of Rock. Each a great musician in their own right, but put the four together and the best music ever made came alive. So glad I got to be here for the whole ride!

Few of the comments here pay homage to Jason Bonham. How hard and how beautiful must it be for him, to immortalise his father's legacy? Anyone whose father has been revered, deserves respect for even *trying* to walk a mile in those shoes ... Jason not only does it - but does it brilliantly, almost seamlessly ...

I have listened to EVERY song that has ever been released, even those secret ones and the earlier songs by the Yardbirds. I cannot explain my obsession, but I think my most favorite part is the way Jimmy and Robert play off one another. Jimmy can play something and Robert will come up with a way to make Jimmy's licks come to life through his voice and then next thing you know, Jimmy will imitate Robert. It becomes difficult to tell who is leading who and I just get lost in the beauty of it all. And then they'll smile at each other and I just melt into a puddle.

Robert Plant always said he wouldn’t continue without Bonzo, but agreed to this with Jason for Ahmet Ertegun, and you can clearly see at 1:36 he’s loving being on stage with Jimmy. No horrible break up, no horrible replacement when Bonzo died… just rode out into the night and reunited for this showing that they’re still the absolute pinnacle of music. They’re not my personal favourite band of all time but I think they may be the greatest 4 musicians ever assembled
