    "Le" does not stand for past in Mandarin, it stands for "completion" or "perfectivity". Tense is not grammaticalized.

    @@echoes1917 I'm not Chinese and I can assure you that nobody cares. BTW, "completion" means past. Also, most of his examples are totally made up.

    @@weqe2278 Completion refers to a present state that is a result of a past action, but it does not mean past...
