Reading the IPA sentences at the end felt so off-putting because so many of the words were just slightly different from how I would normally pronounce them.

Very grateful for this offering MIT. I needed this review of my Choral Conservatory IPA class after 46 years. I study Japanese, Ukrainian, French and Latin and have sang (and got paid) in many more. Very helpful lectures θæŋk ju

It seems that you can do a "nasal stop" by starting with a closed velum and then opening it and letting some air through the nose in a short blast, making a "chench" kind of low squeaky sound. What is this called?

Unbelievable how people nowadays can just share all their worthless opinions with us. Just to get the attention they can't get in the real life.

This linguist needs to remove "yeah" from his vocabulary. It is extremely distracting to hear it every 10 seconds.
