Define "so much". He is a young prospect that you've heavily invested in developing. Even through bad coaching, when employed by D.Ham his quality was still good consider his young age and few experience. I think Max has now a really good contract. We will see with new coaching stuff how he will improve on the offensive side and also if he keeps getting better as a perimeter defender, which in my book, he is already above league average for a guard. With Ham we didn't run a single scheme, not a tacting. Every possession was ball to the star and let him cook with whatever or just the basic high pick and roll which is still effective, but still that shouldn't be your identity. I might be biased since I've bought JJ's statement on the importance of 3pts and in the last four years, we have been at best 22th in the league for attempt (not even converted), which speaks for itself

At least at the end of the day we still have AD to play the 5 and some decent backup 5s until we can hopefully make a move during the season or before if possible. But I mean it could be worse, we still have AD to play the 5 for the most part.

J.V is actually an option the Lakers could use. Any big man that gives AD a breathing room should be welcomed!
