Yes, that flexplate you have to replace it with is for a 350 and it has holes for a Th350 and Th400, where the 454 flexplate has just holes for Th400. You also need the right flexplate since 454 is externally balanced and the flexplate has weights in it. For my 454, I bought an SFI flexplate brand new at Advanced Auto Parts for like $50 and it had the dual pattern since I wanted to run a 3000 stall Th350 pattern smaller torque converter. I'd suggest you do that, it's a good one. That was several years ago so maybe more $$$ now, but get the correct flexplate.

I figured they use different head on nut & bolt is that is what you will have in a wrench set (1/2 & 9/16) not (1/2 & 1/2). But what do I know I never graduated

Also I hv heard of guys using that weird parking brake as a trans brake to launch. Just saying. Give that bbc a 200 shot and launch that beast lol.
