LEARNING TO THRIVE DESPITE HAVING A CHRONIC ILLNESS

This video is all about some of the unique ways I have personally learnt to THRIVE despite having two major #chronicillnesses: a #spinalcsfleak #csfleak & #arachnoiditis / mild #adhesivearachnoiditis
We are all unique in our illnesses and how we respond to and manage them - so some of my suggestions may not work for everyone. They are instead how I have learnt to try and live the best life I can despite having them. To see more about my actual experiences with the illnesses, including the acute flares, please see my other videos. This video was instead an attempt to try and find a more positive message amidst all the immense challenges and suffering of having had two extremely painful and debilitating chronic illnesses for 8 1/2 years since a ladder fall in January 2015.

I too try to concentrate on any positives even on the really bad days, I used to be extremely negative (which makes everything worse), I am a spinal csf leaker, apart from coping with these horrible symptoms I am recovering from an abusive relationship, years of control, so ptsd is another thing to contend with, however I now realise through all this illness and negative stuff I am now the strongest person mentally I have ever been, I appreciate everything I have, and focus on what I can do, not on what I cant. On good days I focus on doing art which mentally is such a boost, this has such an amazing feel good factor. Being outside is helpful even if just led in garden, nature I find so relaxing and calming.🐿🌳🌼

Thank you so much for sharing some of your own journey - we can learn so much from one another. I still obviously battle negativity - some days and seasons more than others. But in the end it’s fruitless and just makes us feel worse. Positivity and gratitude is so much more uplifting. 😀

Well said, Becky! I can relate myself to much. 💕 Lovely music in the background. And also you look much younger than what you stated your age 🙂 was.

Thank you for all your kind words! My husband & I can often be mistaken for a bit younger than we actually are!
