Jimmy, from what I can see, the easiest way to get better at your level would be to catch the drift a bit later, because right now it looks like you're stopping yourself right before getting it right a lot of the time. Also, if your car is setup correctly, you'll be able to control the angle with your throttle more, and you'll only need to use your hands to go into and out of the slides. Right now, your throttle doesn't look like it kicks your rear out as much as it should.

This looks like one of those craptastic mod cars built by someone who just wants the car to go sideways regardless of what is being done like it's Forza. Or else the Silvia has the narrowest rear tires in the history of rear tires... or Invisible Snow. You really gotta try out the E30 M3 (non drift) and the rF2 Corvette C6 GS, those cars will show you how to do it. The rF2 Corvette at Putnam Park is basically drift school if you want it to be.

Empty Box Firstly i can say that the SP mod for assetto corsa isn't that bad (do a review matt!) and secondly, Jimmy Broadbent you're entering a difficult thing in sim racing... people will always find fault with your line, tbh - if car is sideways - you're pretty much sorted. Love both your stuff!

Try the Scandinavian flick Jim. That makes it much easier to get the front of the car in the direction you want then you can control the rear with power.

I've never Seen that mod on the official forums, so I assume its a Forza rip, and those most often have either fumbled together physics or physics stolen from other cars, adjusted only to fit visually. Better give the Nissan S13 Coupe mod from the forums a try, physics, model and sound done from scratch, by people that own real S13s this one here: www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/nissan-180sx-type-x-kouki-v1-3-with-wip-stock-version.20451/

Honestly, I'd recomend you start on LFS, low power, low lock car, on an autocross track online, the comunity is normally pretty good at helping and the layouts are usually simple

try swinging it in corners. when you try going right, just before the corner go a little bit left and swing it back right

What really helps me with drifting is turning off the FFB. Being able to turn the wheel quicker, without FFB hindering it, is crucial.

Before wight transefering the car touch the clutch so the revs go up and the oversteer you get it´s more consistant. You need to be smooth with High HP cars, with this 200hp silvia you should be more agressive, and you should try handbraking! Please upload the videos of you trying to drift, it will be a nice learning experience! Cheers!

as u start sliding the wheel should start conter streering n you should catch it at the angle u want to drift at and make small correction and use good throttle contrl thru a corner

Also put more positive castor angle on in the set up if you can. That will help with auto rotation.

Take it out of 900 wheel rotation. And you don't stay turned in on initiation enough to you turn in and the correct before you even start sliding.

I cant tell if you are holding the wheel- But for transfering the weight, let the Car do it for you, let the forced feeback do his thing!

CASTER SUSPENSION Tandobuddies cars emulate this pretty well, but the modpack is a bit hard to find. It's on a goddamn facebook page. With caster suspensions the wheel does almost all the work for you- you just have to know where to catch it. anyone who wants to drift uses caster suspension, jimmy is a fucking maniac for drifting a stock s13 as well as he did. also, yeah i know. Im 4 fuckin years late on this comment.

Tho, I never run across them. Sure people try not to crash everyone on the track and going the same direction as the rest really helps, but other than that it's a ffa.

sounds daft but look where you want your front doors want to end up. Steer with the throttle, guide the front with the wheel, you can literally let it slip through your hands i.e. litteralt throw it one way then the other :P coming along well though have fun (y)

The LoudAssasin I set my Stability Control to 40% because by the time my G25 rotates, the car has more or less spun out. 40% feels a bit more realistic to me.

In regards to your hands, let the wheel spin through them when you initiate the drift, rather than trying to manually turn the wheel, and stop the wheel spinning when your happy with the angle you have. From there use the throttle to maintain the drift and angle and steer to make minor course corrections and ease out of the drift. You want to focus on smooth, progressive inputs with as little work as possible by youi, from your videos this is the complete opposite of your driving style as you like to saw and fight with the wheel but for drifting that doesn't work so well.
