One thing to note is that you don't wanna copy the BASEY, ROD LENGTH, WBCAR, etc etc from different car. Like if you want to swap physics with this method you can't take a mercedes's suspension geometry data for a gtr as it's gonna mess up everything. You can do this by copying only from "TOE OUT -> down" for each suspension. Other than that, this is a nice & simple method to swap between same cars

Yo wassup. Tell me how to change only the physics of the car, without the engine and gearbox. The thing is, when I change the original files engine.lut, power.lut and drivetrain.lut and I go into the game, look at the gearbox settings, I don’t understand what’s happening, the physics works, but the gearbox is absolutely unconfigured, that is, the slider near the gear ratio settings is at the initial level. I like physics, but how do I get the gearbox and engine back?

tbh not sure HOWEVER usually when I make cars (idk why i didnt show this in the video) but ill transfer one sound from another car over and its much simpler than u think. In the content tab in assetto corsa find the car that doesnt have a sound and when u click on it there should be an option near the bottom that says "replace sound" click that and select the car that you want to copy the sound over and content manager should do the rest lmk if that worked!

Whenever i go in game the car's tires don't fit like how it shows in the CM showroom

make sure theres only one data.acd file in the folder and also make sure when you align the wheels yourself make sure you check the box that says align using data

i think i had that issue before im almost certain i think you have two data.acd files in the folder i could be wrong tho lmk if thag helped (if theres two data.acd files delete one)

I got a question: recently I got a mod pack for the CW Leandro S15. I love the cars looks and performance, as I was looking for a high powered silvia without exaggerated spoilers or bodykits. But, the car is a drift car, and I want it to be a grippy car but not too much. If I change it for a car with great physics but less power and performance, would the S15 get the performance decrease? thanks

add a - sign before the steer ratio in the car ini for example [CONTROLS] FFMULT=3.32 STEER_ASSIST=0.25 STEER_LOCK=460 STEER_RATIO=19.0 LINEAR_STEER_ROD_RATIO=0.00200 would now be [CONTROLS] FFMULT=3.32 STEER_ASSIST=0.25 STEER_LOCK=460 STEER_RATIO=-19.0 LINEAR_STEER_ROD_RATIO=0.00200

Thanks for making this instruction! I did everything like told and got in game but my wheels turn over when steering and car sinks in ground after that xD any ideas what to fix? Car looks normal with wheels with out turning :D

if i were to guess it would be something to do with where the tires/wheels r placed (the cm showroom steps) i think they might be a little too low. ill look into it tho lmk if that helped

@@sindrifts I played with car.ini controls linear steer rod ratio and got wheels acting other wise normal, but still my steering is inverted for some reason :D so maybe not a big thing anymore?

@@RreiiskaRacing damn yea im not gonna lie thats gonna be a little bit beyond my knowledge id definitely imagine its something to do with the tyres or clipping cuz i also remember one time on really low cars on a certain map as soon as id hit any medium elevation change id go through the map and glitch out.

@@RreiiskaRacing thats because you copied the suspension geometry from a different car. It's gonna cause inverted steering input and all sort of other pproblems. Copy only from Toe Out -> down only for each suspension (front & rear)

whats up! if theres no data.acd that probably means u have to pack the data in content manager once for that car then u shud get the data.acd that will allow u to modify the graphic offset hopefully that helps

@@RreiiskaRacing if the car is encrypted by the creator the showroom would show like a very disgusting like blue polygon version of the car your modifying does that happen by any chance? if it does thats ur reason and tbh as far as i know theres no fix for it unless the creator of one of the mods unencrypts their files

yep! just modify the same parameters that i swapped in the video and each of those values will change up the cars physics. I would say you have to be pretty knowledgeable to do that correctly I would have no clue what values to put in. Good Luck though!

sorry i realized i should have been more specific on why that would be difficult. So the way Assetto Corsa works rn for the liverys is based on the creator of the models work. So if the exact same car model is used on two different cars you will be able to use the same liverys but if that is the case 99% of the time that car will come loaded with the same liverys that will be available for it. Hopefully in Assetto Corsa 2 they will include a better way to customize the look of our cars and make them more unique. (this is a 10 year old game so most of the modding done to it cars tracks etc. are all done in animation or model softwares so if you really wanted to swap liveries you would need to use those programs and hopefully the original creator of the car wouldnt have the files encrypted so you can do that) i yap alot too if u cudnt tell

thats an easy fix u can do just in content manager go into the content tab and find the car that does have the sound and then towards the bottom of ur screen there should be a change sound button or something along those lines then u can choose a car that had a sound u like lmk if that helps

i cant rn im away but i have already a couple ideas, it could be that there is 2 data.acd files in your the folder of the car that you are opening or you data is not packed for that car meaning there is no data.acd files. also if the car is blue in cm showroom as far as I know thats due to an encryption from the publisher of the original car and i have no clue a way around that rn lmk if any of this helps

@@MegaAdriiz if theres no data.acd file that should be ur issue u want one data.acd file in that folder sometimes when u pack a folder multiple times u will get multiple data.acd files which will cause issues. so in content manager in the content tab where that car is located make sure you pack the data and then try and open cm showroom and also what error were u getting b4 that would be useful
