My first time out on Geneva early summer and man, those rock bass are a nuisance. Hit every bait I threw out however big my baits got. Great video on variety of clips, I run churchhill, gotta try some offshore or12s .

I had an Okuma cold water with counter and level wind... gears chewed up. Lots of plastic inside those reels.

Why doesn't anybody show the REAL fishing conditions? All these clips are in still water, which I seldom get on Lake Ontario. In 2' waves, all the boards I found run one side perfect and the other side does not run OUT but actually BEHIND the boat.

Nice video. Where did you get the rod mounters? and how long of a lead are you using from the board to the lure?

If your trolling do you use floating cranks? so if you run onto a stack of walleyes you can spot lock and fish that stack and the cranks will float till you start trolling again? Good video, never done planers but willing to give it a try.

Hello your video is super easy to uderstand. i am manly a saltwater angler. Please explaon the diving planer board. I got no 7 n 8. But never caught anything woth it. Whats the distance you keep from board to the lure etc etx. Thanks hepas for helping novices like us.

Can you actually show how you hook the line to the planer board ....you say younger wrapping it but we can’t really see what you are doing Also if I’m fishing alone with planer boards how to I get the board off without losing the fish ?

All you do is when you get the planer to the boat u put the reel in one hand and take the board off with the other. Hold onto the line with your hand to keep tension while getting your rod into a position you can keep tension. Make sense??

you said geneva as in Lake Geneva?

"Learning how to troll with planer boards" I could barely hear you and you aren't teaching me you are showing everyone how fast you can set up a board. I get it you are a guide and know what you are doing but if you are doing a learning video do it right. Slow it down, go through the different types slowly and when setting up the board slow it down step by step.
