I'd like to do something different like stripped gutted 2 wheel drive XJ and make it go fast instead of go anywhere.

Plastigauge has been around since the 50s. It's pretty cool how you and your brother work so well together. I've built alot of engines and understand what's going on. I don't have a brother but I do have a 17 year old son that knows literally everything when doing anything.. And we don't work so well together. Lol.

I have two brothers n we don't speak to each other. Men the older brother used to work on cars in the day the baby boy is too fancy. I love seeing brothers working together.

Dex buddy, your channel has become my go to now. Your videos have explained so many Jeep conundrums that so many other Jeep “experts”😂 don’t care to explain or don’t want to explain. I have a black 2000 XJ with long arms and 35s and I’m on the fence about doing the Novak conversion and doing a cheap 6.0 ls with a car intake to clear the hood. If you’ve ever done one before or would like to, a video on the subject would be awesome brother. Take care man.

Dex I love these videos you do a great job keep it up some people may ridicule you on the way you do things but some of us don't have access to every single tool that would make the job easier I currently have a 4.0 block that I want to make a stroker cuz the 4.0 in the gc is just not enough. I don't know if you made it part 2 to this but I would love to see the end result keep up the good work and thank you for providing this information to us backyard mechanics

The high flo waterpump is the same as ANY aftermarket waterpump. Remember the old ones with the metal star inside with the tips folded over for water current? They now have the impeller enclosed "cups" so all the water in the impeller is forced forward.

Stock ls valve springs are in fact good for about .480 lift.

We usually soak the timing chain in oil before assembly, so its not a dry srart up. And loose chain on your new motor

Those GMB aluminum water pumps are purdy, I almost hated to paint the one i put on the 360 in my 79 cj7. Everything was perfectly cast and about 1/4 the weight of the stock cast steel pump.

Been looking at this exact 5.0 kit for a couple months. It’s says the girdle has to be modified so was curious what all need done.

Personally, I don't wear a girdle, but if I bought that kit right now I might have to tighten my belt a couple of notches.

Well the 4.0 HO is basically a destroked 4.2 with a lighter crank and flywheel, so sorta.

Would you guys be able to build a stroker for me from clegg for a 4.0?

Got a question and can’t find an answer but, what’s the difference between a 2001 xj 4.0 and a 2002 wj 4.0? And how easily interchangeable are they do you know or anyone know for that matter?
