Thankyou again . Great teacher you break it all down and see all the pitfalls of a beginner .
56yo. Bought my violin one week ago. Never played before. Love having this in my life. I appreciate your teaching. I love that so many people from all over the world are friends here, together.
Lesson 8 was a breeze but I've been on this one for nearly a week! Definitely tougher! I do see progress in my daily practice so I hope to see you in 10 soon. Thanks again!
I have "played" guitar and piano. Never great but got the experience. The violin always amazed because NO FRETS. Well, at 68, I rented a violin. I really enjoy it and your lessons! The violin is actually relaxing. Thank you!
Excellent work Dear. I love your lesson. Keep up the good work Dear. ✔

Thank you again, Hennriette! The lesson 8 wasn't challenging for me at all, so I decided to try lesson 9! You are a great Instructor. See you in lesson 10 and on Mindfulness for Violin Players 🎻 😉
Thank you 🌸🌸🌸❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for another lovely lesson! I’ve been keeping up in my practice schedule with doing one lesson a day :). Your teaching is lovely.

Hi Chloe that’s lovely to hear!
Thank you so much for the video classes! I play the violin per the Indian method, and hence was looking to expand to learning western method of violin playing, and most importantly knowing how to read sheet music. And you videos have really helped me get an overview of how to do that! Much love and thank you for this amazing work!

Still on this lesson - the hardest part has been in the 5th measure transitioning from D (third finger on A)and open E - I keep bowing before I'm completely off D! But still at it!

Interesting. I have the opposite problem. In the 6th measure I'm struggling to get my fingers into position fast enough transitioning into D from open E.

That D is not the D string. It is the D note (3rd finger) on the A string. @@dianareason6793
Sorry Henriette, I just thought this episode was a bit fast to follow through, hope you have another version of this piece’s practice. Thanks in advance

The pieces are getting more difficult and sometimes I find my bow going all over the place if I am not watching my bow 😂 Thanks for the videos. I find your instructions clear but I can't quite keep up with the faster speed
@violinclasses

Jade Oh that’s okay! Take your time practising until you are able to control the bow more before moving on. The techniques are getting more difficult and you are making great progress at this stage.
For now the trickiest part is going E string to 3 fingers A, but I guess that's because my fingers aren't that used to fall quickly together to the correct position. I'll practice this part the next days !

I'm definately with you there. How long did it take you to comfortably do this switch in time with the music?
It would be really helpful I think if you were as thorough with the fourth line as you were with the first in regards to how many fingers and what bow length to play as I don’t have the book and by the fourth line I’m lost as to what to play. This is a really great tutorial though and I’m happy to be learning.
Excuse me.. I was searching on internet for suzoki method I've found lots of books. Plz send us a link where we can free download it as pdf or buy it if not possible. Thanks

One doubt mam..are the indications Andantino the mf and p indications only for that particular bar of notes or for the sections that follow till the end of a particular line?

Hi Henriette! I'm an adult beginner and got my violin around two weeks ago. Practicing with your lessons has been the highlight of my days ever since! However, I find it takes my left hand-fingers rather a long time where they're supposed to be going, causing a lot of pauses in my playing. Could I be expecting too much too fast, or is there some bit of technique I might be failing to implement?

Hi Nineathy, thanks for your comment! I would expect you to stay on each lesson for a couple of days before moving on to the next lesson. You have done great getting this far! Perhaps it is time to slow down a bit and let your fingers get used to their new way of moving, as you will probably have noticed that all movements are different from how you use your arms/hands/fingers in every day life. 😀🎻
Hello. Thank you very much to be my violin teacher…. I really appreciate every lesson. One thing that I have problems with is long bow. I try so hard to do all the things you say but I can hardly reach the point of the bow…is it possible that it’s easier for for taller person ? I mesure 5’1, and the bow mesure 29 1/2 inches…. Thank you Henriette.
@violinclasses

Hi Danielle, I am not aware that bowing might be easier for taller people. It may have something to do with how you hold the violin. Come and join my live class this Friday at 1pm right here on this channel and I will show you how a violin hold might affect bowing. If you cannot make it on Friday, you can watch the recording back afterwards.

Hi Lakshmi, thank you for your comment. If you find certain things tricky, practise these a bit more before moving on. Although it might seem longer to make progress, you are actually progressing faster because you learn things more in-depth. Good luck!! 🎻🎻🎻

@@violinclasses No it wasn't, and I broke the first E string:D , and than I changed it, but still cannot tune even with the new E string. Could it be related with other parts of the violin, because the E string is very tight now, but I can barely get B, instead of E ;(

should i master this piece before moving on, or should I move on, and expect it will be easier when i come back to it?

Aim to be able to play each piece without any mistakes before moving on to the next piece. Having said that, you should definitely expect that each previous will feel easier as you move on. So make a habit of revisiting older lessons as well. Hope this helps!
This is getting tricky ! Do I practise this until I can play it at a reasonable pace and go to the next lesson ?
