Learn to Draw Water with John Muir Laws

Learn to Draw Water with award-winning artist, scientist, and master educator John Muir Laws (aka “Jack”), author of The Laws Guide to Nature Drawing and Journaling. Join Jack, for this fun, engaging, and empowering class on capturing water in your nature journal-from mountain streams to still lakes to wild waterfalls. In this 2-hour recorded class, you will learn how to draw landscapes with water features as well as how to show water in motion, how to represent the many colors of water, and how to add that sparkle of light on water. With his signature playfulness and good humor, Jack will demonstrate his best tips and techniques--using pencil, watercolor, gouache, and gel pen--for drawing water that he has learned through his 35 years of teaching, illustrating, and journaling. All ages and levels are welcome.
This class is brought to you by the Wild Wonder Foundation (wildwonder.org). While Jack is teaching these classes at no cost to you, we encourage you to consider a donation of $25 to support the Wild Wonder Foundation, a nonprofit co-founded by John Muir Laws that is dedicated to encouraging nature connection and conservation through attention, curiosity, art, science, and community.

Jack has several videos on drawing water AND I learn something new each time. A special thanks and 'kudos' showing how to tackle the complicated river scene. That was the great new thing I learned. When I saw the picture, I was immediately overwhelmed; his approach made it a lot easier. Thanks for sharing this post.
