This list was tremendously helpful. It brought together bits and pieces I had learned... plus added more, until I feel I have a much more complete understanding of how to draw to show depth. This is the best way to learn, start with what you know (a couple of things) then add related things that seem to make sense, and finally introduce a few totally new concepts. You have put a lot of thought into how to teach these concepts and I appreciate that effort. You teach very clearly.

I suspect John Muir Laws is aware of Bierstadt's ancestry. However; Bierstadt did live, for a time, in California and can correctly (with qualifications) be called such.
