    All about teaching lots of styles, and not just one way to do things my man. People get caught up in ONE thing.... too often. These simple pieces are fun. and HUGE confidence builders.... plus it just helps to know how to get certain effects quickly. It is all tools for the job : ) Just remember if you try it... dont thin the paint a lot. you want the coverage a good strong tinted paint gives. And in this case opaques did 80 percent of the work.

    Love the video, I really enjoyed how you just used paper and a giant roll of tape to make most of it. Those textured stencils do a great job on creating depth. My wife and I just bought like 4 airbrush’s and they are challenging when you 1st start out. The challenge for me is the paint pull lol. Oh and aiming the paint exactly where you want it. I guess it will get easier the more I do it. Anyways thanks for sharing my friend.

    Well I actually prefer my old setup.. however I didn't have the built in air filtration. Which was necessary.. Sometime after the beginning of the year... I'll be building my portable rolling airbrush setup.. which I'll heavily document😁 Although for paper stuff those little hand magnet things are amazing. As for the setup, it's just a gridded magnetic dry erase board. Which I used to clean .. however I've hopelessly allowed it to turn black. And it is just placed on my wall mounted homebuilt sort of easel which has a 20x25 inch filter behind which has a dual fan setup exhausting into a storage room.. which has a fan to the outside if I need small fumy stuff

    once you get a grasp on the colors it will come together much quicker. Its probably time I do another video about color. Since many are still mystified about how to get their values and saturation as well as proper hues. Thank you! Besides 3 paintings in without onsite instruction is very very early!

    Can you explain to me because of my lack of understanding you talk about blueshift on your pavement you're talkin about blueshift in the Sun and other areas is that you adding blue paint to a color to create a blue shift I guess I don't understand blueshift Great video how to you definitely inspire me

  • @TheAIRspace

    @TheAIRspace

    3 жыл бұрын

    no problem at all! When you add a lighter color over a darker color, there is an optical phenomenae which causes the paint color to shift to a blue tone. Particularly with white over blacks and greys. So in most cases with airbrushing you are fighting against the blueshift. And there are many ways to do this. However knowing it WILL happen can also be used. I used white / grey over the dark pavement. Knowing it will push towards a blue hue. Which i wanted some blue in there anyway. So it really just saved me the step of creating the blue and using the natural shift tendency When you see me do skin tones you will notice it is very normal for me to work light to dark as much as possible, eliminating the cause of unwanted blueshift. This is much less obvious with transparent paints, however a transparent white would not cover nor would it eliminate the blueshift entirely.. so its MOST annoying with white over darker colors. However in opaque skin tones it can quickly make a muddy mess of things.

    often I only use one. And for a long time thats all i had to work with. keep a spray bottle of water and a dump tank/cup something. dump the excess paint, flip the brush spray the water in the cup, flip back up put water in spray it through the brush, backflush and dump water and you are good for color change usually.

  • @TheAIRspace

    @TheAIRspace

    2 күн бұрын

    umbers and sienna are pretty basic artistic colors. But each brand is going to be a little different in shades. I try and list colors when painting just so people can know what im using. Getting people to learn to mix colors has been challenging. ive made more than one video on the subject. And those remain some of the least watched videos ive made. Unfortunately. Because color mixing is really a foundational skill. If you search "the real color wheel" And download the one for pigments it has notations showing where different paints lay out in relation. Also a quiller wheel is another good reference.

    I have just one airbrush and am reluctant to use it because I am just not understanding how you are using so many colors. Do you have more than one airbrush that you are using at a time or are you cleaning your brush everytime that you change colors.??? If you have more than one brush you are using, what do I do to solve this issue? I cannot afford to purchase multiples of brushes when I am just doing this as a hobby!

    using waterbased paint: I keep a spray bottle of water. I dump out excess paint, and use the spray gun to flush out the cup. dumping the water a couple of times. spraying water through the brush.. While at first it will be tedious after a while you can perform color change cleanings in just a few seconds. Even a long tedious process would be less than a minute or so.
