    You've gotta do something to promote your channel! I used to watch you on TV as a kid, then occasionally on some DVD's and then nothing. I've noticed your KZread channel has been around for a while now but only managed to stumble upon it by luck. I'm sure your old fans would like to know you're on YT regularly.

    Ah the memories of Coffs Harbour...my old stomping ground.. Snapper in the winter and Spanish mackerel in the summer.. along with some great small marlin fishing... I live in Glastone these days and the fishing here is (although different species) as superb as Coffs.. thanks Starlo for yet another great video..

    Very nice session. Excellent fish. I like the anchor lift method and will try next time out. Regretfully (eating wise), snapper are protected where I am for another 2 years but catch and release is fun when they take the bait before the whiting do! 🐟 🐠

    @@StarloGetsReel thanks. How significant is the difference between the Tranx 200 and 300? Which model is best for snapper? What would be a really great rod for the Tranx 200 or 300 for snapper fishing in lieu of the older rod you have? I’m really keen to buy a Tranx and good suitable rod for snapper… Cameron

  • @StarloGetsReel

    @StarloGetsReel

    @@Camh1968 the Tranx 300 holds a fair bit more line than the 200. I'd probably go the 300 for snapper. Have a look at any of the light/medium jig and slow pitch rods in the current Shimano line-up to find something that suits... they change models so fast I sometimes have trouble keepin up! 😉
