that video is really helpful. this is the only video that helped me to learn the Kong because most other parkour youtubers don't go slowly. they just expect that you have the confidence to do it straight away so thank you for teaching me this epic move.

Hey man thanks. I had a weird situation in which I'd monkey/Kong Vault onto the sofa and it was fine. But for some reason when just trying to come off an obstacle from being on it's level I couldn't Kong or mini Kong off without lifting a hand or doing a dash vault type thing. Now I can do it. Thank you, this may seem small but I think this tutorial has helped me learn and break a big fear factor or wall holding me back.

Your kong could do with a bit of an earlier liftoff. I know because my kong suffers from the same mental barrier, where you can't make yourself jump until you're already within arm-reaching distance of the obstacle. It feels safer, essentially you could stop completely and still perform this kong from standing, but the scary bit is making yourself leave the ground when you're still waaay out of reach and relying on your running forward momentum to carry you over the obstacle via the kong. Love your 'learn in 5 minute' videos, btw.

Hey pigmie! I just started watching your videos and I never comment on youtube, but I have to say I love your "In Only 5 Minutes" series! I am 18 and do basic parkour (such as vaults and climbing walls). I learned yesterday how to do a front handspring thanks to you and I almost have my kong down! What few tricks should I learn next? :) Thanks for your help!

Again, its great your getting into parkour but the kong needs to be entered split step for the best efficiency. a two foot setup only works for so far and is less controlled. great work though. also a quick tip, if you want to be able to throw huge kongs right, you want to practice konging off an object but letting yourself fall over the edge forward a bit before pushing your feet out to land.

hey man thanks for watching my videos! I would make sure you are in general shape. Make sure your jumps are good and on point. Then learn the first "reasonable" flip/ trick that you want. (good basics are makaku, front handspring, scoot, rolls, 540 kick, etc.) It is different for everybody so that is why I say learn what YOU want :D

What they don't explain is hand positioning! I realised that your hands need to make contact with the end of the object you are jumping over, but its not a problem if your vaulting a thin object. I wouldn't recommended anything more than 30cm for beginners. You don't want to break any bones, do ya?
