Learn the Licks WITHIN my Licks! (Smooth Jazz)

Музыка

I am often asked to show the Licks I play in between those I demonstrate in my Smooth Jazz Licks video series. I am happy to announce that I have transcribed and have Tabs for every note I played in my Smooth Jazz Licks Part 3 video. There are 5 Licks, and every single note and fretboard position is indicated in the Tabs. There is a wealth of information in the 9-page pdf!

It’s hard to focus on the Autumn Leaves basics when I keep getting distracted by this greatness. 😅

These sound killer in this context, but I'm wondering how much of the smooth jazz thing is the guitar tone and drum track. It seems like these licks could also sound good with a little overdrive in a rock-ier setting. Maybe I'm wrong on that?

I agree with you. Play these on a 335 with a bit of light overdrive and you have something similar to what Robben Ford plays.

Hi G'day Andy, newest fan here. I just want to ask about your pick up selection. do you use both even when soloing?

Hi there - for jazz playing I usually use neck all the time, or I set it to both and use 90% neck and 10% bridge. Thanks

If you sold these lick scores for 1 dollar, you would already have 1 million dollars, but for 20 dollars it's complicated.
