Great content man. I think you could blow up if you keep at it. One suggestion tho...put chapters or segments in your vids. Like timestamps...idk what they are called on here lol. That always increases the quality of the vid. Everything else is already there imo. Sound, editing, good info, etc.

For all with dpads and keyboards. Just press up and left or right while inputting both dodge and attack at the same time. it works

I still wonder who had the great idea to put neutral basic on the right and neutral special on the left, when the buttons are basic on the X (more to the left) and special on the Y (more to the right)

You mentioned some attacks break armour. What exactly is armour? Does Finn's projectile shield count? I am also curious about the dodge meter. When does it deplete? Can attacks delete the dodge meter? Lastly, when two characters attack each other at the same time, what determines which one hits? Are some attacks stronger than others? Can you somehow punch through some attacks by using a stronger one?

Armor Prevents Knockback when hit. Depletes Dodge Meter when applied to self.

Is there a keybind for walljump/hold? Im on keyboard and I can only hold onto wall on one side. Looks like it is bound in "D" key. So when Im falling down on right side, I can hold wall to jump up. Also Im new to this kind of game, what is the difference between normal attack/special vs. neutral ones?

Took the full game down because they couldn't keep up with fixes or content but gave us back an alpha with everything that was good from the first launch gone including Total ringouts/damage in match Training mode Tutorial mode Attack decay Better UI Hitboxes Screen zoomed out Speed of game What a shit show of a re-launch but hey atleast the store is the best thing working.

11:01 This isn't Boost Jumping, it's just Dodge/Boost Attacking in the air. Dodge/Boost Jumping is cancelling the sideways dodge on the ground into a jump. Big difference, as you can cover much more horizontal space with a boost jump vs a jump into a boost attack.

Play against banana guard in lab on hard mode for bot. Could help you get familiar with counters and movement

what i would give to have up analog stick not be jump and just have the jump button be the only jump input. I guess it would be busted 🤷‍♂. I can jump diagonally and keep the stick there and he will run so i can do the trick but it just seems meh. maybe i just need more practice, but i cant do it out of a sprint w/o jumping to fix the stick to do the trick. Its like u need the jump input (static) for the dodge to be airborne to do the instant attack.

You have to turn tap jump off in your settings. That’s why when you move the left analog stick up you jump as well.

Is it possible to perform the IAD with the d pad that’s what I use to move around

yup, just hit your up key and side key while hitting dodge and your desired air attack. It should work for ya. Just tried it in the lab

You can either dodge attack into it or play around with the movement. Like dont let your opponent know your going straight for them.

Yes great choice, my config: L2: Jump R2: Dodge B & R1: Special Attack A & L1: Normal Attack Right Stick: Normal Attacks Left Stick: Movement & Specials when combined with B or R1

I'm struggling with the I.A.D with bugs.... Everytime I try.... I get the mallet ground neutral (not the spin air neutral I want) but the dodge bar goes down to half after 1 attempt as if I successfully did IAD. I've been trying for 2 hrs 😭

so start standing still, then tilt your directional l stick until you start moving, no more passed that, then once you are at the bot/enemy, hit dodge then quickly neutral and u should have it.

@@XatumiVS thanks! My problem was... I wasnt using lb/L1 for neutral,I was letting go of the stick (which was preventing me)... So as soon as I started doing that... I figured it out

We’re is the (reverse) dodge cancel jump. U didn’t show the HUUUUGE momentum that u get if u dodge by any direction and cancel with a jump were u gain lot of speed… that’s ok I guess

Did they change a lot of the game mechanics from before or something. I don't really get why they would remove the extensive in game tutorial they had before.

only to find out in the game now, parries are the hardest thing in the game and there's not a binding for neutral dodge. all the charged moves, cancels, parries are so precise it's not even funny, I'm testing it right now. with the connection to other players, that's a huge problem, idk how tf pros play.

so according to devs, they are going to fix all that in a future ppatch update. you should be able to test players in training then.

​​@@XatumiVS I thought there was a neutral dodge bind in beta but ig not bcs idk why they'd remove it for the actual game. it's actually rough trying to parry rn 😭 harder than anything I've practiced in the past. actually not true, I forget I can't even do the iad bcs I have to use dpad for movement with stick drift. that's not difficulty though, it's just not possible as far as I'm aware with dpad, but I still try.

@@XatumiVS I just found the most hilarious thing ab the ai, if you set it to neutral dodge, it'll just spam dodge until it parries, if at all 😭💀 that's all the proof I need that I'm right ab parries, the ai can't even do it right.

@@polysemy_I think u are mistaken friend, there is neutral dodge bind in settings . Neutral dodge is just dodge without any movement inputs added . I personally use jump on L2 & dodge on R2 if you hit just R2 it is neutral dodge but if combined w/ any movement from left stick (or dpad if u use that instead) it becomes left/right/upward/downward dodge. Also turn off tap jump so that up on stick (or dpad) isn't jump. Hope this helps
