I felt like I was a fairly strong Marvin player before, but this video already helped me improve even more. Adding 'Thats Flammable Doc' and 'Static Electricity' really helped me rack up even more damage than before. Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much!
Bubbling up ur rocket is also a great way to reverse its flight path without neutral special which I love to use after that to throw them of even more by reversing it two more times
This guide was very helpful, before I played Marvin Kinda more aggressive then I should have from the advice from this video, but now I'm doing way better thanks to this guide, this is very helpful and can't wait for more guides in the future
Best Marvin guide out right now! Quickly becoming my favorite multiversus content creator.

Very good guide! As a Marvin main, all of this (bar the other perks except signature) all I was implementing into my gameplay! I think something you forgot to mention is the projectile of the jab having a good kill potential at high percentages. In this, for example, If someone is trying to camp me out on the side of the stage, I whiff the jab into that direction, and with neutral special, just redirect them and spikes them. Of course, dair a better tool, but against things that could try to challenge your approach (like Harley, Bugs) it works very well. Overall, very solid guide! I loved it!

The projectile from Marvin's jab series has netted me so many off stage kills. Feels amazing everytime!

was debating on buying marvin or iron giant. i knew i loved iron giant from beta, but i was overwhelmed with marvins playstyle before so i was hesitant to buy him (though i loved the character). i watched this guide to help me choose, and after following along and testing him in training, everything just clicked. and ever since i got him hes been the most fun character ive played, just having so many things at your disposal and controlling the whole map is so much fun. its so satisfying to reverse a projectile that had gone offscreen, and bring it back to hit or pressure the opponent even more. great guide!

Wow thank you so much for the awesome comment!! Really glad i was able to help
really nice guide, thanks man 👍
if there’s one thing I’d like them to buff it’s giving more combo potential off side b. in the beta he had way more and it feels kinda limp now since you can only really go into dair or up special

See, this is a great example of a buff for a character! You have a move in mind, an example of what it was like in the past/idea of what it could be like, and a good idea as to how it could evolve. More people need to be like you and not just go, "WHAT?! I LOST TO THIS CHARACTER! NERF NOW!"but instead learn the matchups and point out issues or questionable choices that you're unsure of.
Nice guide bro! I recently picked up Martin and have been loving him. I have shit reflexes so combo-reliant characters arent my thing. Plus I largely play random 2v2s and you rarely get a chance to combo with all the chaos. With that being said, I take a couple diffrent perks than your reccomendations because I do 2v2. I still heavily favor the triple rocket perk. I always try to position the ship in a difficult area where the enemy has to go out of their way to destry it. I actually don't care too much if they try to destroy it. That's less time they are focused on killing me or my teammate. Plus you can get free shots at them while they are trying to destroy it. Its a GREAT distraction either way. Agreed on the flammable perk. Its the best for him in that slot due to so many projectiles. For third perk I take the speed buff. The extra movement speed seems like the best choice for such a small fragile character. I really dont like the wall/impact damage buff perk. I don't think he has a good enough kit to take advantage of it. Last perk I still take Pugilist. His down+attack armor break is comsidered a melee attack in game, even though it fires a laser/tazer. So it gets the additional damage from the perk, and pairs nicely after hitting them with projectiles from your flammable perk. I think he's a much better character at 2v2 because of how much shit he can throw on the screen lol.
Great guide, I disagree with your signature perk choice tho. Up air is a great kill move (which Marvin struggles with) and it hits a lot more than you think when you aim it. Plus if you use the right stick up to angle it, you can angle it much faster than you think. This is extremely helpful bc it allows you to read di and continue pressuring. Also the button is only super useful with rockets, while you can use the buffed up air the whole match.

A fair point! Maybe i will need to test the up air perk more. I still stand by my choice! :)

Ok as someone who religiously plays marvin one thing no one talks about is his crouch is stupid. Harleys spin kick can be crouched under which is both hilarious and practical cause after you can get some really good combos with the button this of course is boosted because he can walk while crouched and all that for NO dodge meter i might be delusional but i think its quite practical against quite a few characters
Hey I am just a french newbie on multiversus but i enjoy the game quite a lot and while trying to find another charcter to main other than Taz (that I kinda dislike now for his terrible range), i found your channel ! You seem like a really good player and your content about Marvin is both interesting and entertaining in the way you explain things, thank you for that, it may become my new main now that im aware of the mistakes and pros you mentioned 🤜

Bonjour! Thank you so much for watching the video and I am so glad it was helpful to you! Marvin is a super fun choice.
Something I’ve noticed is that a lot of Marvin guides don’t bring up his dair loops (dair into neutral special) which racks up a lot of damage and can be started with a lot of moves like neutral attack or side special, although he should still mainly back up, if an enemy is engaging a lot or is grounded most of the game it’s honestly one of his best ways of racking up damage

More marvin gameplay SOON!
Marvin does have loops. It’s just different. Jab,jab, forward dash cancel (on floor)+jump button same time, into air neutral special, into down air. This loops two to 3 times

Cool guide! Sometimes I hit a strange dash horizontally in air, is that useful for something?

You might be referring to Marvins air side special where he does a little head butt? That move is kinda lackluster overall but it can get you a kill at high percents
On god I’ve been tryna say this! You think and break down exactly what I think a good Marvin is bro. As a Marvin main you are doing a service for all Martians everywhere 🫡

Ive noticed a lot of people mispronouncing pugalist. Probably out of not knowing what it means. So heres some help pugilist /ˈpyoo-ja-list/ Pugilist is a fancy word for boxer, one who indulges in the noble art of pugilism, or fighting with one's fists.
