Psalm 23 - A Psalm of David:
“A psalm of David: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack. He lays me down in lush meadows; He leads me beside tranquil waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for the sake of His name. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will not fear evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the view of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely goodness and grace will pursue me all the days of my life; And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord for the length of days.” (Psalm 23)

I love your video. Thank you for helping others learn this sacred language. I am trying to memorize this psalm, one word at a time. In the morning, I try to sit near the little pond in my parent’s house where I can see tranquil waters and a reflection of God’s goodness. I believe that the very sound of Hebrew is pleasing to the Lord and that is why I want to extend my praise to him in this language. Thank you for enriching my capacity to praise and meditate on God’s beautiful words! Blessings!

Thank you so much and bless you and your family🙏🏼. This Psalm is actually what I try to remember to recite to myself whenever I feel like I'm spiraling down anxiety and depression again. Now I feel like I have more weapons to fight back the enemy trying to drag me down --- studying the actual Hebrew text and its meanings (it's fascinating how the individual letters in this Psalm actually has their own meaning as well! It's like pictograms in kanji) and even trying to recite it as well in the future.

Now I’m on a mission to memorize it in Spanish, Latin and Hebrew. It’s just a way for me to meditate and concentrate on the Lord. Thanks for posting this very helpful guide!

Hey Bob, the way I learned this exact same psalm is by singing along to the music group, Miqedem. They specialize in the Psalms sung in Biblical Hebrew, with modern pronunciation, of course; as all Israelis speak modern Hebrew. Anyway, go to your KZread search bar, and type "Miqedem - Psalm 23 (Live in Studio)." You can also find the album version by typing: "Miqedem - Adonai Ro'i." You could buy their music on Amazon or Bandcamp if you end up liking them.
