    My great grandfather was in the usa building railways over 100 years ago, there he learned some mandarin. and it has been a tradition to teach the children in my family to count in Mandarin. After all these years, it's not that far from what I've learned from my dad.

    Mates Mates essentially speaking the tones are articulated in this way: neutral, down ward, down and peak, and upwards. Hope that helps. As, there are KZread videos upon the tones If this explanation was unhelpful
