You neglected to mention the important detail that you don't need to use sail blocks for windmills- Regular wool works too, if you have a surplus of wool and want to save on andesite alloy.

This is something new with the previous update (steam and trains) you could not cover gears before that. And I love the new gear box set up. It looks so cool. Like an actual engine. Still prefer Rot. Speed Controllers just due to size and shape. But the gear box in a decorative case (or 2 side by side) is one of my favorite central pieces or under floor showings. The gears getting faster as you step over them and run into the main power line.
@blast507.

@@N0FoxGivenWell, rot controllers are more later game and gearshifting is for early, so it's better to gearshift with casings before you get the rot controller

I have been trying to use create. I've not done well, simply because I didn't know what I needed it for - I just wanted to use it. This truly is a beginners guide because in about 4 hours of gaming I learned nothing, but in this 28 minute video I learned a heck of a lot. Thanks.
i love how create implemented redstone into systems so that knowledge in redstone can still be used
For some reason I find Dejojo’s create tutorials relaxing, I don’t know why and I already know all this stuff it’s just fun to learn about them
Worthy note about bulk smelting. (Unless I'm wrong since I haven't gotten to play the newest version of Create in survival that much yet.) It is the only one of the bulk operations that will destroy the resulting items if they aren't picked up after they are smelted due to bulk smelting destroying any items that don't have anything to smelt into. Related fun fact: Smelting cobblestone into stone is the exception since it can be further smelted into smooth stone, which while not great at least returns something, assuming you don't wait longer, allowing the smooth stone to be destroyed since that can be burned.

I love this! I never knew how to even generate power at all in create so in my builds I just used the creative motor. The only thing I figured out how to automate was elevators and making a mechanical arm endlessly transport items on a belt that just loops around lol
Thank you for this wonderful guide , i've always viewed the create mod as something abstract and too daunting to get into as a tech mod, but this breaks it down well!

Thank you so much the power cog thing I never had to do until this update but it helped a lot! I kinda missed the overclocking waterwheels but oh well. Anyways thank you for the tutorial man!
For anyone struggling to get slime in early create saves, I would strongly recommend you look up the slime ball recipes in JEI before doing a slime chunk farm or finding a swamp. With Lime dye (green dye + white dye), and Dough (wheat and water in a mixer) you can make your own slime balls. This recipe absolutely saved my sanity after I tried for HOURS to get slimes to spawn in a slime chunk I hollowed out. This is a vanilla create recipe, so no additional create mods necessary. Green dye is as easy as finding a desert or any biome that produces Ferns and tossing them in the millstone.
This seems awesome! Going to check this out. Thanks for the video. Subbed too.

Seriously, you have no idea how this guide helped me out. I didn't know how to block gears. Form other gears
Wow! The casing on cogs really makes a speed system compact. I never thought to do that and would end up with like a 9x9 space being used. I like the new water wheel mechanic. Now you don't have to make it ugly to get full power. One thing that you weren't clear about. The belts cannot transport items directly vertically, but they can transport items diagonally upward.
What an awesome tutorial!
Great tutorial, thanks! Can't wait to play this with my lil bro
Unsure if its a new version of this, but you can also create half large and small cogwheels. You use an andesite alloy to make the wheel, instead of the shaft. This will make it so that the shaft is only on one side of the wheel, negating the need to make an andesite casing
I don’t even need this information but it was still fun and satisfying to watch! Maybe i should play this mod
I did not know of rubidium until today. Thank you.
Thank you for the amazing tutorial!
great and very in-depth tutorial! one thing i wish create would have, brass gearboxes! since you can decorate the cogs and shafts with brass casings, but the gearboxes will always stay as andesite. it just looks off.
@dejojotheawsome
10 ай бұрын
That would be so so nice
For someone who is brand new to this mod and is looking in tutorials before trying it out. one of the important things that is missing from the beginning is how to make the andesite alloy. I googled it and know now that it's made with andesite and zinc. And the zinc ore is part of the create mod world generation (I think after a quick search but I could be mistaken) I believe it would be best if this is explained or at least mentioned at the start.

I have been playing Create for as long as I can remember. And I didn't know you could combine slower speed sources to higher speed sources, I figured it would just break it. This is good to know.
@lunar9650

It does break in 1.16, which is why I was surprised to see it work here too
In older versions, (something that I had to find out on my own, through JEI actually) You have to craft andesite casing with two rows (one on top, one on the bottom) of planks, a stripped log or regular log in the middle, and two andesite casings at the side. I struggled with this for a minute, since I was running a 1.16.5 server lol

Nice video. I'd like to see one where you work with lava. How to automate it to use in recipes. Such as the recipe with flint, gravel and lava that makes andesite. I have a cobblestone generator that crushes it into gravel and washes it into flint, so if I can get a lava source and somehow transfer it into a basin, then it could get smashed into andesite.
@MrBulbo-oz1es
