  Encased chain drives are resource amount cheaper, but it's different for each, iron nuggies for chain drives or the other about 1 andesite and some planks for gearbox. In some packs the recipes change and you need to be able to have options.

  However often optimizing cogs and gearboxes to work on multiple machines seems to be better most of the time, but sometimes encased chain drives can be useful in compact scenarios for me.

  Recently got into your videos and loved this one. Mekanism is one of my favorite mods and I enjoy seeing people try to tackle the ins and outs of it.   Windmills have a pretty nice use case even in the early game. A windmill is a spinning contraption just like one running off a mechanical bearing, so a simple spinning crop farm is super easy in the early game with a windmill bearing, a few harvesters and a minimum of 8 sails. It spins pretty slowly, but crops don't grow in a single tick, so it's fine. And you can still use the output shaft for SU for other machines.

  or you could just use a furnace minecart instead of powered rails, putting coal into it makes it move forward

  11:35 i always got a overstess Clutch at 50 ticks for Main power line before i do something but if i make a new factory i use a extra set at 30 ticks so if something goes wrong it doesnt shut down its self and i use the windmell to start the fatory with a clutch so i can stop it if i want becuse like i wanna try a farm and see how much the other fatory gives so yeah

  I don't know if you have rubidium/embedium installed, but certain versions of them tend to remove certain things from the JEI/creative menu. A fix would be to use older version of them. Disclaimer, I am just assuming you are using either and it could be a whole different issue entirely, but I had the same issue before and that's how I fixed it, well, that's how I learned how to fix it from other people. Thanks other people.
