Sorry for the wait guys! Been working VERY HARD working on the Complete N3 Grammar Video! Should be ready in the next few weeks! For now here is an episode of the vocab series courtesy of the folks over at SEGA for supplying a copy of Persona 3 Reload!

Go, Matt. I was always waiting for you to complete N3 back before I took the test in December 2022. Now it's spring of 2024, and I've taken the N2 this past December and passed. Please don't give up on the JLPT grammar videos. They really helped me back when I was learning. I know a lot of people don't really watch much past N4/N3, but I would love it if you finished the entire JLPT.

Brilliant....just brilliant. I just came across your channel and just wanted to commend you for what this channel is all about. Learning Japanese through gaming is the way I started learning the language a few years ago from only knowing kana and have no regrets (of course, I since moved on to VNs and LNs for a bit to just solidify a lot of the knowledge..now I'm mostly just back to what I truly enjoy, story heavy gaming). Though I no longer watch learning content to learn the language itself (I usually watch language learning content just to offer my own personal opinion based on my own learning) I was intrigued when I came across your FF7 remake part 2 video from 4 years ago and thought the idea was GENIUS. Fast forward to more recent videos and can definitely see improvements and changes...but there are definitely a few things that didn't change like your enthusiasm, passion and just your love for teaching the language through games and obvious love for the language itself. Hats off to you, keep up this amazing work...definitely wish I knew you existed when I was learning the language (this may it will be 4 years of exposure to Japanese for me)...might have made grammar learning and possibly kanji a bit more entertaining (though I focused a lot on input at the beginning I also did countless anki for grammar, vocab and writing kanji from memory A LOT back in the day) Never change, it is VERY easy to see how passionate you are about this and that is a huge motivator for people. I hope you reach 100k, nay....1M subs soon...you definitely deserve it.

At 20:00, 分寮 does not mean "partitioned dormatory". In fact it means "dormitory branch of 岩戸台“. You can see this type of language in words like 分店, meaning "branched store" as in one of many stores in a chain franchaise. 分寮 here suggests that besides in いわとだい,there are other dormitories that belong to the same school/brand in other places.

Does closure/glottal-stop/‘okina have any rules in Japanese? Sometimes it appears in the final vowel, but sometimes not. It usually appears at the end of the sentence/phrase, but not always. The rest of the consonants, however, seem aspirated.

Could you please do a review on Nekopara Cat's Boys Paradise? I think it's an a-we-so-me game for learners. It's short, it's fun. Each line is voiced. Not only there is a log, but there is a special button to repeat the line as many times as you need, without even going to Log! Plus there is NO text from main character, and the lines are just being said by other characters in a way of quote. Which means this text is also voiced. It's not very long, so it gives the satisfaction of "I have just finished my first game in Japanese". And since its cafe/restorant related, it's not as difficult as a detective or fantasy stories, plus there are tons of everyday life vocab. Ideal for N3 level, but even N4 could enjoy, I would say. Plus, even though it's supposed be an otome game, all the guys are actually cats, so no real sexual context is involved, its a PG game, which some guys also enjoy. It has Apple and Android versions. So please, please, we need more people to know about it and advance their Japanese 🥺❤️
