This is fantastic! What a great way to study the conjugations I feel much more confident approaching them now.
Great video, clear explanations. 100% recommend to anyone studying Japanese with the Genki Textbook.
You are the best!
This is insanely cool!
The expression ケツが青い may have come from the fact that East Asian babies are born with a blue birth mark, mostly on the bum

Hello, I just want to let you know how much the N5 - N3 complete grammar videos have helped me a ton in my Japanese learning journey! Will you possibly do N2 and N1 in the future?
Good day. Have been following the FF7R series and I think the new format looks nicer (got colour mappings for the corresponding Japanese/English words which make me easier to locate their translations and to easily see the sentence breakdown personally). Thumbs up. (Yes I think you have to make things speed up otherwise a single game would take too long to complete) . Thanks.
What is this game name do i know that??
Dude you are a beast, thank you so much for providing this stuff.
Thank you for all of this dedication to such an in-depth video! People! Support this creator!!
What my past girlfriends demanded from me: 3:58:25
Nice video!!
I finished this game, it was great absolutely brilliant! Encourage everyone to try it
This is so helpful!! It's way easier looking at examples in practice, thanks a lot!!
which of these conjugations are included in level N5 ?
neru sugita ねるす た (I slept too much)
すぎた
Also i think i got 8/10, thanks for makin this series
😭😭😭😭 this is so wonderful!!!!!!
two minutes in the video and I'm already enjoying the studying so much thanks to you!!
bro was so happy at the end he say bye like 10 times
Haha after months and months of insane work it must be hard to say goodbye I guess haha
9:30 why the game writes 引鉄, but you wrote 引金 ? which one is correct ?
They are both correct, with the game using a rarer kanji. When I typed the text the most common variant came out, but they are both correct. 引金 引き金 引鉄 引き鉄 are all ways it can be written
This is amazing
You’re the best! Thank you for making kanji and grammar videos ❤ What’s the best way to support your channel monetarily?
Thanks so much <3 The best way is definitely through either website membership or donations, and Patreon is also okay too :) Thanks for enjoying the channel!
Comment for the algorithm
I love the vocab series, thank you for the good work! :) A small mistake at 8:32 I think you meant to say humble, since they are talking about themselves.
I love this!
The ds is not region locked but the 3ds is but that can be fixed by installing basic custom software
Thank you so much! I'm learning a lot!!!
I'm only at the beginning of the video and it looks so FUN!!! Thank you for making learning even the basics exciting!!! You are AWESOME!
The way that this doubles as both a Japanese lesson and kinda your reaction to Ace Attorney I'm so happy here. So nice to see what the original Japanese had and how the localisation team translated to English so well.
I have never seen a free learning source this good
great job sensei ^_^ , iam realy waiting for genki 2 for N4 lessons please sensei
I think the font is cool! This does seem like a good game for learning, I'll have to check it out. Thanks again gengo
Bro I spent multiple days skimming through this video so i could make an anki deck for the grammar only to realise you already put one in the description 😭
What I really wish you could do in Pokémon games is start them in one language and then switch to another mid-playthrough; would be so cool to be able to wander regions of games I’ve already beaten in a different language, but I don’t think that’s an option in any Pokémon game
GG!
thank you so much for this video, going off the textbook alone left me a little confused about the past tense conjugations but just watching this once cleared everything up! thanks matt, your channel is one of the best resources i have found for my learning journey!
The best youtuber!
You are one of the best Japanese language learner youtubers man.
You put so much effort into your videos and always make them such high quality. Unreal.
Oh "shiteii" means "is it okay?" Is that what they're always saying in Danganronpa games, like, "is it okay to say that such-and-such hid the knife in the place" or "is it really okay to call X the culprit?" That's such a funny little Japanese-ism. Is that what they're translating?
wow! Every class is a masterclass...
Meanwhile, in 大山 we find not "yama", not "san", not "zan", but SEN. Mount Daisen, that is Mount Great Mountain. Yeah, readings are really qirky at times in Japanese... The sooner you get used to it, the better. Otherwise, you'll be shedding lots of tears in no time 🤭
Thank you!
1:15:50 omg the editing is perfect!!!
can't wait four you to reach 100 000 subscribers!!!
Thank you! This series is so helpful and makes learning kanji actually entertaining
