    I remember doing this style on vehical doors in late 70's, early 80's. Mostly in mono, matching the vehical main colour. Thanks for showing this video.

Currently I'm putting dates on mine with the hope of being able to see improvement later. BTW you were right, scratching isn't as easy as you make it look.

  • @TheAIRspace

    That's exactly right. You want to be able to blend into it. If it remained pure white til the end it would be difficult to make the hazy look.

    Very nice painting. Thanks for the links to the Terraslate, unfortunately all out of stock, so ordered Yupo ( alot of people with time on their hands at the moment ). When you add color to the existing cup color, do you just use back pressure to mix? BTW 3 firsts view/ like and comment LOL.

  • @TheAIRspace

    @TheAIRspace

    Yes I usually just use backpressure.. Although its a bad habit. The best way is to mix in a seperate container. But i run and gun : ) A lot of folks love yupo. And I still paint on it. Its just not my favorite :)

    i have 2 sets of paint .. createx illustration and trident (which are opaque) in this vedio u r using the colours like(burnt umber,red violet) which u said are opaque but i have them in transparent , i dont have those shades in trident .. so can i make createx illustrations opaque by adding white in them? but then i am worried that it will get lighter and not remain vibrant. or i can use them transparent without adding white into it .. please guide me

  • @TheAIRspace

    @TheAIRspace

    3 ай бұрын

    you can simply use the createx illustration as is for everything in this. However when adding a tiny amount of white (say 1 drop in 7 or 8 drops of color) or less of a trasnparent paint it just slightly increases coverage power and really does not lighten it dramatically.

  • @TheAIRspace

    @TheAIRspace

    The "opaques" are mixed colors to get the base color in. Off the top of my head without watching the video (cause I did this years ago) id imagine I mixed some sienna in white to mix the first color I laid down a yellowish orangish base layer.

    I have been airbrushing for about 5 years but one difficult 2021 year I went off. now I am getting back but my aiwata airbrush is not working properely with the createx ilustration. how do you reduce those since it is the first time I work with them?

  • @TheAIRspace

    @TheAIRspace

    2 жыл бұрын

    with createx illustration. I run around 30 psi and very often no reducer at all. i usually just use enough reducer to mix colors.. which is about 5% If you overreduce them they can tend to cut through previous layers unless you are running low psi. there can be a benefit to that. But they are generally very friendly overall. the 4011 works well with them. As always different temperatures and climates affect waterbased paints, so always there is a it depends aspect to reductions.

    @@eddmtz4028 no worries, there is a small learning curve with them from other lines of paints, but the colors are very clean and when you get used to them they really do well. Unlike wicked where I might just reduce the daylights out of it these take a little more balance but are capable of very fine work when dialed in.
