I don’t know why, but the Daegu reminds me of the stereotypical-yet-famous Brooklyn/Queens dialect, which is usually assigned to Irish-Americans/Italian-Americans.

I hope you make more of these daegu satoori videos, funny and remind me of my friend from daegu. I think even though I was taught the Seoul accent, the Daegu accent is more natural for me and flows better when I speak.

I studied in Daegu and I learned some 사투리 without meaning to. I adapted the accent really easily. I forgot a lot of it after returning to the US and meeting mostly Seoul people.. i miss it. Hopefully I can return

Can you please explain how Koreans speaking different Satoori's understand each other? The words seem to be sooo different from the Seoul dialect which is what I'm taught as a learner. I really wonder how Koreans from Seoul would understand someone from Daegu or other regional dialects/Satoori's. Thanks!

Is there a particle you can use in Daegu satoori to make your phrases less casual and more polite, like in Seoul dialect the -요 ending (for ex. 어떡해? vs 어떡해요?), or is the Daegu satoori used exclusively amongst friends?

I was wondering the same thing. Like, Jolla people say 요➡️요잉, 죠➡️죠잉, 는데➡️는디, but I'm curious how Daegu people speak in polite form.

I'd love to know how Daegu people speak in polite/formal form, if they're talking to elders and seniors, and if they have equivalent endings to ones like -요, -죠, -거든요/-잖아요, -는데요, -ㅂ니다, -ㅂ니까, -셔요/-세요, -겠어요/-ㄹ 거예요, etc.

of course they use honorifics. They just 'sound' kinda mean because the accent is rough but they're very polite too. They use the same endings like everywhere.
