I followed "Sherlock" in Netflix and love Benedict 's voice and british pronounciation... Grateful to take English lessons with this great actor!

Please do Eddie Redmayne next! He sounds really posh but he also did an amazing Texan accent in one of his early films.

Your videos are great! I'm American, Southern. That "j" sound, like in news, that is dropped in most parts of America is kept in the South. We say that sound. There are many sounds in coastal-Southern (the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida) that are the same as RP. I would love to see you do some videos on the similarities between the Southern American and Engish. That would be fun.

I’ve been watching these videos and thinking the same. Would love to see such a video. We use a lot of the blended words and such too. Also noted many similarities between southern British accents and southern US accents. And I notice when he is saying words in American English, he tends to have a slight southern accent himself. Or at least moreso than not. I’m also from the southern US, btw.

Southern American English is about the closest American thing to British English.

I absolutely adore RP! I first learned about it from actor Patrick Stewart. Tom, I teach English to immigrant adults in the US. I just found your channel and truly enjoy it. I have to say that my cousins, who grew up in the city but just 30 miles from where I grew up, say their words differently from me. For example, I say Monday, Tuesday, etc. They say Mon-dy, Tues-dy, etc. Drives me nuts! Thanks for your postings.

British accents always have been hard for me to understand, because I leaned English with someone with American accent (it's my 2nd language), so I'm loving your channel because get to really understand and learn about British accents!! Also, I'd love to watch Tom Hiddlestone
