It takes the Holy Spirit to keep us on the right bath in order to reject sinful things of this world it isn’t all at once either you got to have opened your heart to be lead by the Holy Spirit after your born again allowing a new driver in your driver seat so to speak. Believing your filled up listening to teachers like Rick or by reading you Bible without the Holy Spirit is an emotional reaction it doesn’t last it’s the difference of getting water vapor when your dying of thirst and being continually filled with water. I don’t know if you are born again or not please know I’m not being hottie in my comment I just wanted to make sure you knew the right way cause I love you, Jesus loves us, he doesn’t want you to not understand how to get back home to him. I did those same things on and off for so long not understanding until I got so dried out I broke like a clay vessel giving myself over freely to except a new driver in my life Jesus excepting his gift so the Holy Spirit now leads me in my life. I’m pretty newly born again it’s such a wild, exciting, amazing, blessing in my life to feel his love for us is so wondrous. I woke up only about a week ago early in the morning crying thinking, feeling my heart break for everyone that doesn’t know how much he loves them cause once you do you would never be cruel, hateful, or bitter towards anyone. I’m not saying you might not get aggravated by someone cause you will but you almost instantly correct yourself. If your heart is a broken vessel everything leaks so to speak you can slowly turn cold hearted towards others it’s why we have so much strife between groups of people that just can’t get past minor issues with other groups of people instead ego, pride, spite, greed turn hearts bitterly selfish. Sorry I got carried away in my comment rambling I just really want to help everyone that are wondering from Gods flock to find their way to our loving Father in Heaven also to not live hear on earth in such fear the only thing ppl get in news, politics anymore is fear mongering if ppl are afraid it makes people selfish. I love you sister

Pastor Rick, Another great and insightful sermon. May God continue to bless you and your church! Just another point to consider about Ecclesiastes 10:10--The new Revised Standard Version reads, "If the iron is blunt, and one does not whet the edge, he must put forth more strength; but wisdom helps one to succeed." Whet comes from the German word "wetzen" (sharp), and means to sharpen a tool. Like you said, we are to sharpen the tools God has given us in order to succeed and grow in our wisdom. Thank you again for the wonderful message! -Matt from Virginia

To melinda, i think not only christian and muslim that must merge together. I think the all world and religion must come together and come to worship Him. :) Christ is love, and the things about Jesus is the lamb is enough, for every sin of us,thats the very big thing about being His follower. And at the old testement. The time that the jews do about sin offering. Torrah and everythings in that book and include some exp by story on it, sin offering do is every time person do a sin. Every single sin. So, if a animal sacrifice is something that you believe as important things to erase or subtituted every sin inside human, i think every of us must do it every day.

The heart is a part of human that content feeling and decition making too, means logical part. Not as nowadays that heart only apart of emotional things. Thats why at new testament Jesus add, praise God w/ your mind. That the explanation i heard about it. And i heard some things about new living translation. That some of the context in the verse is different at original one, cause there political playing inside, thats why there a lot of version of a single english bible. Some people suggest read king james version, and if you wanna accurated, read the hebrew language haha ;) or collect the bible version in another language.

Next time there is a bill collector hounding you, tell them to get the money from heaven and see how long it takes before the Sheriff shows up. Cannot pay a mortgage with good deeds and it certainly isn't like everyone lives in a Mc Mansion either. I have heard the treasure in heaven beaten to death forever. Rings hollow when you cannot manage to reliably exist no matter what you do or how much, or hard, you work. As a coworker used to say, just because you aren't homeless doesn't mean you aren't close. One thing you cannot afford insurance for, or doesn't cover, or whatever, and the list(s) get longer by the minute, and you are toast. And there is never a "bail out" when it happens to you. And it doesn't mean you were living beyond your means when it happens either.

Hi, as a Muslim I find most of what they are saying knowledgeable, apart from Referring to God as Jesus or as Father, God is One, God is Eternal, He does not get children of Himself nor He is born, there's none like Him. He doesn't even have a wife. If He wanted a child He could of chosen any of His creation. He doesn't need us not the vice versa. God loves the doers of Good O people of the Bible!, lets come to common terms between yourselves and the muslims. So that we may not take as a Lord part from the Creator ( the creator of Heavens, earth and everything in between). My Lord guides not the grossly unfair and morally wrong. My Lord is appreciative and He's knowledge surrounds all things.

Cafer Ince God the father calls Jesus his son in terms of relationship. God calls everyone who believes in him their children. When Christians refer to Jesus as the son of God. They are not saying that God had sex with a woman and got her pregnant and had a son. It is used as a relationship. God calls Christians his children and we call him our Heavenly Father.

You do not see things clearly unless you correct what you utter with your tongue. How can God almighty have a son when there's none like Him, He is the Creator , Say God is One , God is Eternal, He begets not nor He is begotten , There's none like Him.

Cafer Ince I don't think you understand what I'm saying. He calls Jesus his son because he created Jesus and he is Jesus Heavenly Father. In Christianity, we call God our Heavenly Father and we are all his children. For example, I'm Gods daughter and he is my Heavenly Father. Obviously God did not have sex with my mom or anything like that. Since God is not a human, he is a spirit. But he created me and I have a relationship with him so I call him my father. It's out of respect, love, and a relationship. So when people say that Jesus is the son of God, they are not saying that God the father, who is a spirit, not a man, had sex with a human woman and that woman gave birth to Jesus. I think that's a misconception that a lot of Muslims have about the term son of God. It's just saying that God the father looks at Jesus and all humans who believe in him, as his sons and daughters because he loves us just like an earthly father would love their kids. In fact, he loves us a lot more than our earthly fathers, since he made his only begotten son Jesus die on the cross for us in order to save us from our sins if we believe in him and so that he can truly prove his love for us.

Cafer Ince Christ is love, and the things about Jesus is the lamb is enough, for every sin of us,thats the very big thing about being His follower.

Theres alot of time that the old testament that God telling about the coming of Jesus. The perfect one who die and rescue. As symbolic, that human sinful, cannot rescue ourself with our streght, so God himself and come to spread the "good news". Cause as simple like, If God is perfect and His glory is very big and cannot tolerant a sin, you are in big trouble. And its not a big mistery that islam and chistianity come from the same root wright? The different is islam didn't believe about the messiah. So your believe ends at the old testament.

Why in the world does anyone want to bother with this heretic? Rick Warren promotes the emerging of Christianity and Islam aka ChrisIslam. You can't put an idol in God's temple & expect Him to expect to say, 'It's alright. I know you just want to look good in public'.

This phony pastor never talks about receiving the Holy Spirit and speaking of tongues, it's a promise of God to his followers, it's what every christian truly needs, to have that personal experience of feeling God's power that will shake you up make you jump speak in another tongue something that looks crazy for nonbelievers or phony christians
