Pastor Rick, I said those 2 words and I have found myself in China. It has been a journey godd and bad. I would love for Saddleback to be apart of my ministry here because I know God has more for China. I'm near the center of the country and I know God has something big planned for China. I need prayer and resources to better plan my ministry to grow. I came 9-1-2013 and who knows how long od wants me here. So please pray for me..

We are facing many opportunities and challenges and trying to determine those things that are from God and those things that are not. I'm more confused after hearing this...how is there a practical way to know then, if what we're doing is what God wants us to do? I guess I should not ever watch TV since it does not fulfill a greater purpose? So if I'm doing something I want to do and there is no opposition, it means it's not God's will?

Five questions can help evaluate opportunities: What do I need to know and who knows it? Is there a demand or market for this opportunity? Do I have the resources and skills required? Does it align with my values and purpose? What are the potential risks and rewards? God is more concerned about the motivation behind our actions than the actions themselves. Our motivations should align with God's purpose for our lives.

The Bible never spoke one time about being great but always called for faithfulness. Stop giving people false information, teach them about being faithful in their Christian living. The Devil was great but not faithful. Falling angels are great but faithful. Thx

I disagree babies are great.

There's so much negative talk in this sermon. Doesn't it say in the bible it is the Lord who guides the path of a righteous person? Shouldn't we pray and ask the Lord for guidance regarding a decision we've made or an opportunity that's ahead of us? It is very foolish costly and disastrous to follow an opportunity or make a decision without the Lord first.

I think there is a lot of positive talk in t his sermon. I agree that we should Pray first then Plan (Evelyn Christianson). Pray for discernment and a heart for Him and be open to Him showing us the right path and the opportunities.
