The girl who tranforms into a dragon is Shyvana. She is half-human half-dragon born. She works for Demacia. But in Before Dawn cinematic she is corrupted by Viego's black mist and turned evil. Normally she is a good character. Fun Fact: She is voicing by Karen Strassman who also voiced Kitana and Mileena in Mortal Kombat 9 and X.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames yes, in this event many champions of runeterra who have fallen under the corruption of the black mist but for every corrupted champion there is one who will become a sentinel and aid against the darkness. In noxus draven, the guy with the two axes gets corrupted while riven becomes a sentinel (hint you saw those two fight each other in awaken) in Ionia, karma (the spiritual mage who shielded Irilea in awaken) who initially resisted the corruption of the black mist eventually falls to its corruption. Irilea (the woman with the floating blades in awaken) becomes a sentinel. In bildgewater Miss (Sarah) Fortune falls to the corruption but Graves becomes a sentinel, the region that it’s most scarily affected by the black mist is Targon, home to actual Demi gods, here they are referred to as Aspects. Pantheon the aspect of war falls under the influence of the mist which if a Demi god can that’s some pretty scary shit. Here Diana, Aspect of the moon becomes a sentinel, plus more. It’s very interesting. But also I want you to keep reacting to more League videos!!!! They have so many good ones you need to see! Some are championship songs! You need to check out “legends never die” , “Phoenix”, “curse of the sad mummy” , “Annie: origins” “as we fall,” “wild magic” and more! Please! I will love you guys forever and ever!

I’m sure someone already said this, but the Trinity girl is Vayne. Her parents were killed by Evelynn(she’s in K/DA, but her in-game lore of being a succubus doesn’t really leak into the the K/DA lore …maybe) when she was young and she became a demon hunter. So joining the sentinels was a no-brainer!

It's actually not that simple. Vayne doesn't just hunt demons, she hunts and hates anything that has magic in it, to the point that she once killed someone who loved and cared for her as soon as she found out she knew magic. That's why in the light novel, she tried to kill Senna before (kinda) joining the sentinels. If anything, the cinematic oversimplified her character completely, to the point that she doesn't even care that they use magical weapons

Cant get enough of y'alls league reactions. I havent seen this one recommended a lot but you guys absolutely need to watch "Annie Origins" Its such a beautiful interesting animation style and tells a really Dark back story of one of leagues first ever characters.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Her name is Yuumi, she's the blue cat Akshan "killed" in his video When she sees Yuumi, she'd say: "Cats deserve love even if they don't need it… and they use a book to hit you in the face."

There is 1 problem with Senna, she is actually dead, killed by Thresh. When she was young she interacted with the Mist and got 'cursed'. She started attracting the Mist and that is why she became a sentinel, trained by Lucian's father. When said father passed away in battle Senna went to back to Demacia to bring Lucian the news, that's how they met. Fast forward the duo thinks the Mist is caused by Thresh and go to the Shadow Isles to kill him, fail, Senna dies and her soul is trapped in Thresh's lantern to be tortured forever. Said 'curse' turns out to be part of Isolde's soul and kept her together. Isolde told Senna everything about Viego and she also learned other secrets from other deaf Sentinels in the lantern. Lucian confronted Thresh with the idea to avenge Senna and free her soul, get her back was an added bonus.

I love that you guys knows the names of some of these champions just by looking at them now 😊 It’s really nice Riot put out a recap of the overall story for the event so if anyone isn’t caught up yet, can get a general idea of what’s going on Should be more coming for Ruination/Sentinels of Lights event in the near future Do also keep an eye for the game “Ruined King” too, it’s an upcoming game about group of champions that dealt with Viego before the whole sentinels of light and global ruination thing

I suggest watching " Call of Power ", despite of it not being connected to the ruination. But in that cinematic they show champions who are rarely shown in cinematics. The narrator is Ryze, basically the first mage in league.

I’m sure you have been told but I do love that you are keeping up with the new story being told. However when you get a chance you should definitely watch the cinematic they have called “kin of the stained blade” it’s the story that was being told durning last years summer event. It’s a little long at 10 minutes but that plus “the path, an Ionian myth” are 2 of my favorite cinematic videos league has ever produced hands down. Both are from that same event, the second one is only about 4 minutes long too.

I recommended you the first video! Told you it was good! The event is going great so far. I think is the more ambitious event they did (I still love the Star Guardians event they did a couple years ago). I think you would love to see "Welcome Aboard - Odisey trailer". It has a Guardians of the Galaxy vibe and is pretty funny to watch. Another videos you can watch that no one told you are the Star Guardians videos. They are: "Burning Bright" (this one has a japanese version called "Endless Starlight"), "A New Horizon" and "Light and Shadow". This is my personal favourite skinline. I'm a huge fan of Sailor Moon and the skinline is based on it and the Mahou Shoujo genre in general.

Hi ! About the current event, few thing : - As I post this, the chapter 1 recap is already out there, including the event of demacia you see in Before Dawn. - Akshan is not in game yet, but is coming soon. - We're actually in Chapter 2, the third begin the 22nd, and the fourth, hopefully the last one, the 29th. - Viego, with the help of a Yordle Friend (Yordles being the small chipmunks like creature you've seen in other videos), spread th black Mist around Runeterra to quick travel here and there, Ruining several champions, to find magical artefacts, all bearing a fragment of poor Isolde's soul. - Senna and Lucian are recruiting new sentinels to fight alongside them, including Vayne the Monster hunter (trinity), Riven (the slave girl in the arena you've seen in "Awaken"), Olaf (a Freljordian warrior who dedicates his life to fight in hope of an honorable warrior death), and many other. - Viego corrupts a lot of champions, such as Miss Fortune (Actual Pirate Queen of Bilgewater), Shyvanna (the dragon Lady, wich is kown to be Demaci's King Jarvan 4th's crush, while the demacian aristocracy is obviously anti-mages) or even Pantheon (Targonnian Aspect of war, a godlike entity incarnated in a simple man's flesh, Atreus). - All seems to lead to a point where Viego might come close sooner than later to try to resurrect again Isolde. The best would be, if you wan't to watch League of legend related videos waiting for the whole event recap and ending, to focus on other parts of the lore, related or not to the current events. As I've seen suggested, there's Yasuo's and Yone Story, with "The Path" and "Kin of the Stained Blade", wich is last year event. There's also a few one-shot story cinematics, like the "Tale of Runeterra" serie, eight 2 to 4 minutes videos, with one episode in nearly each region, "Annie's Origin", beautifull piece of art, "Call of Power" (the name is clear enough), or, if you lie that kind of stuff, there are also non-canon (or alternative universe canon) music videos ("Pentakill : Mortal Reminder", "Get Jinxed" wich is canon, "KDA : Pop/Stars", "True Damage : Giants", "KDA : More" and "KDA : Villain", this last one being the best KDA clip in my oppinion).

You guys are fun to watch. It's cool to see people who may not actually play the game still enjoying the characters and story. I know you have a long list of videos to get to, I will be looking forward to your KDA and True Damage reactions. Someone has probably already said this but just in case I'll leave it here. Ahri (Fox Girl) and Kai'Sa (Tasteful-Sexy Girl) are in KDA. Senna (BBQ) and Yasuo (Tornado Samurai) are in True Damage. Akali (Green Ninja Girl in Awaken video) is in both groups. These videos are not part of the true League lore, but alternate reality versions of music groups in our current world. There are more characters involved as well of course. Just make sure you watch KDA- Popstars before KDA- More. Also they look different so you may not be able to spot who is who right away.

Fun thing about your comments about Viego, not long enough after ruination, a new skin of his' was teased, and it's called Dissonance Viego, and it has also a good cinematic, called Pentakill: Mortal Reminder and a series of it, also viego is included, but he resembles as a god there. for you information, Pentakill has it's own alternative universe in league. and also League also have lots of alternative universe, like Star Guardian, Odyssey, K/DA and True Damage (which are in the same universe) and Project. and also, the girl in glasses with Crossbow, she is Vayne, The Night Hunter. she is hunter who hunts bad guys and also demons.

welcome to ruination! there may be additional cinematics through the event, or at least the way before dawn plays out seems to hint as much, so we'll see i guess! think you guys would really enjoy seeing who all the sentinels and "ruined" champs are, so i certainly hope theres more cinematics anyway. one of those may be quite a surprise.... i did see the ruination/ruined king reactions but i was busy and never got around to commenting but i checked it! 😭 as for vayne, i begrudgingly admit they have made her a bit cool in this event, i can't say i'm much of a fan of her in general lol her story is kinda.... monster hunter becomes the monster themselves, to some level, and it's a level of hypocrisy in character narrative that i've never liked lmao. but rioters have said vayne was chosen because they wanted a team of champs that were not all morally pure because that would be boring, and to that i agree. when the world is ending you don't have the luxury of vetting your recruits, so i get that. she's the kind of person that would have been looking for an excuse to put shyvana down even before ruination; she didn't want to end shyvana just because she's on viego's side, and it's good senna was there to tell her no. shyvana and the ruination itself... the mist, viego's power, it warps people, it takes their fears and insecurities and more, and twists them, in addition to putting them firmly under viego's control. you can hear viego's voice seep in when shyvana lifts into the air while speaking, he's speaking through her. won't reveal anything about the other ruined champs in case more cinematics drop but here's ruined shyvana's bio from the card game, to give you an idea of how the mist twisted her: "The people of Demacia had always treated Shyvana with distrust and suspicion, as if she might at any moment shed her humanity and turn on them. It wounded her deeply... and stoked the fire of her rage. If it was a monster they wanted... then a monster she would be."

*Okay, I think this comment will be too long to discuss especially those questions that need to be answered and clarifications. So here we go...* Shadya- this old lady is a member of Light Sentinels before Senna and Lucian joined(specifically in Lucian's father's time, Urias) who helped and mentored our newest champion Akshan. She saved the young boy from the killer and revive him to give him a second chance(which is a twisted story in his bio right now). And that weapon relic was called "Absolver". Sadly, Shadya was killed by a Local Warlord because most of the warlords refused to give back the weapon relics(we dunno who he was actually). So that's the reason why Akshan is known as a "Rogue Sentinel", trying to find the murderer who killed his mentor and bring her life back. (Trivia Time: As you can see the two champions in the rift was killed by an opponent and when Akshan killed using his ultimate and his grappling hook to someone murdered his allies, the two went back in the base in a small period of time unlike others that it caused 30 sec to revive) Akshan- this guy is literally a cocky but strong sentinel member. The question is why is he related to Viego? The answer is because of the weapon, Absolver. As I said earlier it can revive someone as long as the weapon should kill the murderer first. Viego wanted his wife back and he is finding someone who holds the reviving weapon. Vayne- one of the champions of the first fall of Ruination, Demacia. She was recruited by Senna and Lucian to be part of this event. Sadly, this trailer was very fast coz as you can see, Vayne's hair was long but when she went out in the sentinel's altar, it turns short and had red glasses. If you play the event on PC, Isolde's doll-turned-life Gwen was there and she helps the demacian to look beautiful yet cool. Gwen cuts Vayne's hair(as permitted), sewing the new dress of Sentinels, and giving her the red glasses as Vayne always wears in her default and skins.

A doll made by Isolde that came to life through the life via the mist, but isoldes influence protects her from turning evil, instead it infuses her with a sort of positive mist that allows Gwen to not only be a good character but it counters the black mist, Gwen cannot be detected by Viego while in her mist, nor can he detect anyone else who she pulls in.

Its a continuous story of Yasuo’s lore after he ran away from his school and chased by his master disciples because of the questioning death of Yasuo’s master also how he move on from the death of his brother Yone.

if you watching all the ruination stuff, you should watch Gwen's reveal trailer and other stuff, technically she is part of the sentinel of light team they just haven't shown her in the videos, but she is tied into the event

So, I have not seen a good lore sum up for you guys here, so I thought I would write one. I want to start with a caveat that all this is to my best knowledge and interpretation, so if I am wrong about something feel free to let me know! Now, with those caveats out of the way, lets begin! Fate of Demacia: Here we are showing the spreading of the black mist, and how it is covering everything as Viego try to get back his queen. This is just hyping us up for the event XD Story so far: Kind of self explanatory. Giving some backstory on Viego, the sentinels of light, and the ruined king story line. Akshan: Now we meet Akshan in earnest. This is actually a gameplay trailer to introduce him to the community before he was released. There are a ton of champs in league that have amazing characters, but we usually only get to see them through the voice lines while playing the game. Akshan is a ranged marksman/assassin who is mostly played mid. Ill do a quick rundown of his abilities as you see them in the trailer, so if you don’t want to read that just skip to the next cinematic: His hook ability allows him to swing around a point on a wall, and he will fire shots at anything near him (prioritising anything with his passive on it). You also see his boomerang ability here. It does damage going in and out, and its ranged is extended when it hits something. His passive stacks up when he hits a enemy, and when it has 3 stack, it does bonus damage. His stealth ability allows him to go invisible, move quicker, and its timer refreshes when near terrain. Next, we see him using his ultimate. It’s a charge ability that locks onto a target and shoots a flurry of shots at them. This next ability is probably the most controversial part of his kit. For a short time after an enemy kills an ally, if Akshan is involved in killing them, the ally is revived. That is about it for his kit! Before Dawn: This is the main introduction the sentinels of light story line. First, as background, Viego is corrupting characters and controlling their minds so we get to see characters that would usually work together square off. We pick up in Demacia, where we see Vayn, a deadly monster hunter, and Shyvana, the royal guard in Demacia and creature of pure elemental magic that can take a humanoid form if necessary. The knockback that Vayne does is actually a move you can do in game called condemn, and that dragon we see is Shyvana’s true form. Now we get to see Lucian and Senna. The double shots, dashing and cross shot that finished of Shyvana are actually based on Lucian’s moves in game. We also get to see another example of Senna’s supportive side as opposed to her damage dealing capabilities. That mix is part of what makes her one of my favorite support champs to play. Finally, we see the introduction to the Sentinels of Light game map, and Vayn’s new skin. Also, to answer a question from the discussion, Senna never went evil. She was trapped in Thresh’s lantern for a while, fighting the corruption that was coming for her and learning some new tricks. She came back changed in the same way a soldier would come back changed after going to war and being stuck behind enemy lines.
