70s Aerosmith is where it’s really at for me. Any song you hear from first four albums is just great has the grit and just Aerosmith vibe to it. Some gems from that time: One way street Make it Train kept a rollin Spaced Walk this way Sweet emotion No more no more You see me crying BACK IN THE SADDLE Home tonight And from 80s Aerosmith and onwards you got a lot of requests already- my favorites Cryin’ Amazing Love in the Elevator Janie’s got a gun Monkey on my back Fine Angel What it takes And they are amazing live, even better than in the studio for me. Steven is one of the best frontman ever. But to be honest I could go on and on and on. They have song for every mood and in every decade from 70s onwards so there is ton of songs to choose from 😅

Aerosmith is Steven Tyler on vocals, Joe Perry lead guitarist, Brad Whitford guitar, Tom Hamilton on bass and Joey Kramer on drums. They started in the late 60's/early 70's and are still together.

Aerosmith has been wonderful to hiphop. Crazy, and I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing , are must listens in the Aerosmith lexicon. As for 70’s rock bands, there are an infinite number of legends to choose from. But I’d start with AC/DC.

Ok I have been worshiping at the feet of Aerosmith since the 1970s when I was in high school. I have seen them live many times. Front row seats at Steven Tyler, the Demon of Screamin’. This is a band. Steven and Joe Perry, lead guitar, write the songs. Tom and Brad on bass and rhythm guitars and Joey on drums. Steven can do everything with his voice and he is a wild child of the 70s, perpetually in rehab, loves androgyny and performs live best when sober! Thankfully at 70+, he’s figured that out. There are literally thousands of great song. Buckle your seat belt and pick them one by one. Use either live performance or official video. They are in top ten rock bands of all time.

Your reactions to these groups and singers that you have never heard of brings back the memories of the first time that I heard them back in the day. Thanks from an old hippie chick (or flower child).

Got to do Aerosmith/Run DMC Walk This Way. A lot of people thought Aerosmith was over after the 70's then Run DMC was talked into doing a duet with Aerosmith and holy crap did Aerosmith's popularity sky rocket 🚀. They went on to have a fantastic run of albums in the 80's and the 90's. Personal favorites are Janie's Got A Gun, Love in an Elevator, Angel, and Dude Looks Like A Lady. Honestly any they have done is great. I'm a new Subscriber so I don't know if you have listened to Tom Petty but he is another of my favorites Refugee, Free Fallen and Roll Another Joint.🤣

Love you! Aerosmith formed in 1970 I was born in 1972 thanks to Uncles I still have flipping 8 tracks of them. Steven Tyler (lead singer) I the sweetest guy to meet, and I have! He stopped in a Tucson Village Inn to use a real payphone cause his rental car died. I was dressed as Janet from Ricky Horror Picture Show/floor scene (look up the outfit😉 & yes I was wearing it) was like 3:30 in the am. He asked to buy cobalt blue Kimono robe I was wearing over it. Yep he has it and I have the autographed napkins and a bead necklace still. OMG do the Run DMC mix next!!

"Amazing" is a 🔥song from them too. This one is my favorite, Amazing is another. Walk This way is another because it's the first collab from my 2 favorite genres Rock and Rap. Steven Tyler wrote that one and asked Run DMC to join. Run didn't want to at first by then they decided to go ahead and do it. And they had a huge hit on their hands👍

However, the 80’s was my fav! They have so many great songs keep exploring you will continual be amazed I think.

Oh you most definitely just scratched the surface here with Aerosmith. This was their very first single from 1973, and still a personal favorite of mine. But yeah, Steven Tyler does have a VERY distinctive voice. Joe Perry is also one of my favorite rock guitarists ever, right up there Brian May from Queen. You seriously cannot go wrong if you dive down the Areosmith rabbit hole either. I personally recommend Sweet Emotion, Dude Looks Like A Lady, Janie's Got A Gun, and of course, Walk This Way with Run DMC. And that's just a start :)

There was an era of rock bands that hasn't been rivaled. Maybe segregated into categories (Alternative, Southern Rock, Acid, Punk & Rock etc.). Beatles, Rolling Stone, Animals, The Guess Who were burning up the 60s, then 70s came we kept building up into 90s; AC/DC, Aerosmith, Alabama, Altman Brothers, Cheap Trick, Def Leppard, Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Kansas, Journey, REO Speedwagon, Styx & Lynyrd Skynyrd (RIP died in plane crash). There were other genres including comedy. Songs were unbelievable. The variety shows of the 50s-60s died as Ed Sullivan did. Interest was pulled away to TV cops/doctors shows. There wasn't MTV/VH1. BEFORE them & Saturday Night Live was the Midnight Special. It was live Rock performances of a particular group aired live after Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. Premiered as a special on August 19, 1972, then began its run as a regular series on February 2, 1973; its last episode was on May 1, 1981. Disco & SNL killed the show to make way. It kept us exposed to them besides radio & concerts. Another legendary show still existing is "Austin City Limits". It showcases variety of genres. You've seen it showcase Stevie Ray Vaughn & Chris Stapleton. That stage is electric creates fiery performances of artists.
