Larry, My thoughts EXACTLY. She is amazing. She may have the best voice on the planet. I've been a fan since I saw her in Miss Saigon in NYC in 1993.

I hope people appreciates how clean and smooth she transitions from one key to another. Not every artist can do that.

I'm pretty sure she's the original, she wrote the music for the movie. Ana Kendrick had to learn her song.

Uh ...no, she's very much a mezzo. A lyric soprano's voice would get stronger as it ascends, not thinner. Her blend is the best I've ever heard: like you cannot tell when she switches between chest and head because it's all blend. I saw her in 1991 and even at like 21, she could command a stage with her voice and her presence and carry a show. She's an absolute gift to the Broadway community. 🙏🏻

lanzjoshua she has photographic memory. As a child, she was able to memorize other actors’ lines, she would correct them when they made mistakes. 😂

So I have a bizarrely random idea for a fancast for The Last Five Years, but I actually think it would work really well. Lea Salonga as Cathy and, hear me out………Jason Alexander as Jamie. I know he's a bit old for the role, but he's a phenomenal singer and when I first saw this play, I always thought a young Jason would be absolutely perfect for the show. Don't deny that he would be great (and obviously I don't need to convince anyone of Lea's amazingness). I just think that if they ever did something akin to a concert show, they should hire these two.
