This is what I like in all Lea’s performances. Her words are always clear. There’s no need to search for the lyrics to understand her song. I’ve been listening to her since i was 8.

I love Philippa Soo's version because it's the original but Lea Salonga's rendition is very heartfelt. Her words are so clear, I don't even need to google for the lyrics.

Lea's voice is actually a lot stronger in terms of power compared to phillipa..so when she goes soft to strong maybe she's coming off too strong for some people who are used to pipa's rendition??? (seems fine to me though..)..I thought it was a really good performance..I thought she seemed really balanced, just a different emotional quality to the song than pippa's..

Soo and Lea are two different people with different messages to portray. Phillipa portrays the pain and hurt she feels deep inside, she shows the anger that turns to sadness and hurt. Lea portray the betrayal and anger she feels once she discovered what Hamilton did. She feels the disbelief yet she accepts it and therefore unleashed the anger she had. You dont belt a piece like Burn its not written that way.... (she did sing Defying Gravity thou) And asking to sing a musical number in acapella without the orchestra... Is just wrong for my opinion... And belting is not a true judge of vocal capability... Lea hits her high notes with precision and control reaching them without straining her vocal cords Hence the reason her voice is still perfectly healthy even after a few decades of singing

T if you have ever seen Lea rehearse songs for concert, you won’t judge this so quickly. I would say check her rehearsal video when she did “still hurting” from “the last five years”

I'm new to Hamilton, and I like both versions. Phillipa is by far the best singer of the original cast, but Lea could sing the phone book and it would be amazing.

Her pronunciation is as clear as a crystal. It feels so soothing just to hear her sing.

Leah's voice is unmistakably clear, but her acting is almost the same. Although it's less obvious here now, but it is stil noticeable. Her acting is always, as if she is seeing something or someone that we don't see. Jed madella sums it: as if she is possessed. 😂
