    Regine is fantastic; I adore her. But Lea is as well. They are all different kinds of great in their own worlds and leagues. Stop comparing and pitting them against each other because in real life, these two legends, these two icons, are great friends who support, respect, and admire each other.

    Regine Velasquez is the Asia's Songbird and is the Best Selling Artist of all time in the Philippines. She is the idol and inspiration of almost all singers of today like Morissette, Katrina,Sarah G., Jona and many many other more. Regine is 50 in there,that was her 50th Birthday Concert actually, it was a benefit concert. She's now 51 and is in the industry for 35 years now. She is also a great actress and won some acting awards from famous Award Giving bodies here in the Philippines. Thanks!

    Magnificent. Lovely duet by legendary vocalists. FYI, Lea recorded this first and then Regine sang over the recording. Great collaboration even if they're working separately on this video.

    You're right, both of them have different musical approaches to the song. But, as they sing together just blended well with perfect interpretation producing smooth voice quality voices. Just two amazing artists!🤗🎶👌

    She is called the queen of goosebumps, a unique voice - contralto with polyphonic overtones. The most famous hit of the king of rock 'n' roll in an unrivaled gorgeous, phenomenal performance by Diana Ankudinova ( 18 y.o.) Can’t Help Falling in Love (Elvis Presley / DARK VERSION cover) Please react to Diana Ankudinova ! She has insane and unique vocals and great stage presence and her performances (from the show You are Super ! ( win twice ) are gorgeously choreographed and you should find them very interesting. Top song choices are up Wicked Game, Derniere Danse, Blizzard, Human, River. She is really an amazing young artist!

    A lot of people are commenting that Regine somehow sounds different here… like a bit matured, or very round-sounding. This is what typically happens when you perform songs that are lower than what you typically sing - you end up trying to “color” your voice or otherwise make it sound rounder or darker. It’s a natural instinctive reaction as a performer - the natural performer in us would try to sound amazing but on a song or medley with limited opportunities to belt and in a key where our voices can’t naturally resonate - we are left with nothing but to color our voice. Regine had sing lower to give way to Lea’s range which is lower than Regine. Lea sounds resonant here because it is within her middle to upper range, needing no effort to sound resonant. Unfortunately for Regine it’s a bit lower than what she’s accustomed to singing, but as the host, she rightfully adjusts to what her guest Lea can sing comfortably. Unfortunately , Lea would not be able to do the same for Regine should she ever invite Regine as a guest. And why would she ? That would only work to expose her Leas limited vocal arsenal and nuances (or lack thereof). That’s why you will never see Lea invite a Regine Velasquez to her concerts , especially the ones held in the states. That would be suicidal to her career.

    OK, we’re often told not to let out too much air during phrases because then we get breathy and we run out of air before the end of the phrase. So I don’t understand what you mean when you say that Regine has air flow that keeps going. And if you’re just talking about the regular airflow that we’re supposed to keep going during singing, why do you point it out here as if it’s some thing special and different she’s doing ? Isn’t that what we’re all supposed to do as singers? You’re not the first coaches who have spoken about this with Regine and it confuses me. So I’m hoping you can answer the question.

  • @nowthen.4363

    @nowthen.4363

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yes we’re supposed to keep a regular airflow as singers. But a lot of singers don’t do it as masterfully as Regine. She doesn’t push more air as she gets higher she maintains a consistent airflow which actually makes it easier to transition through her registers. Does that answer the question? She’s just very good at maintaining consistent air flow. Rather than falling into the trap of pushing air as she gets higher. This is why her mix is amazing!! So it’s not about letting out too much air. It’s about not forcing air or taking in more air than is needed. Some singers take in too much air, and then that smash’s against the vocal folds. And it’s hard to control. ❤️✨ hope that helped xx
