Your wealth of knowledge/research/analysis is genuinely incredible.

I'm thinking they are fallen angels who were fearless enough to defy god and pursue their own independence! While they may have lost their "wings" metaphorically, they still have powers as they weren't hurt by the fall as seen in the trailers and have the association with a "blue flame." In line with the Little Mermaid lore, they may no longer having a soul after their fall. I think its interesting that they might want to become human to go back to heaven for eternity. Why would they want to go back to the place they might have left? Did they actually leave on their own volition? I also still think they have ties to ENHYPEN as well with Garam being in the Drunk-Dazed MV. Could Le Sserafim have created ENHYPEN (gave them immortality as vampires) against god's will and that's why they were cast out of heaven? In the MV, a girl in a lighted altar (Garam) poured something into the fountain and then Sunoo mimicked it, possibly because its their "bloody birthday party" and he's remembering their creation. Is Le Sserafim trying to return to heaven by becoming human? Also, the female lead of ENHYPEN's Blood Altar (who could arguably be a Le Sserafim member with Garam's involvement in Drunk-Dazed) could actually have a deep-seeded unconscious hatred for vampires because they were the reason she was cast out of heaven . I'm not sure if they are mermaids or if the concept is just being used as a metaphor for their predicament, we will have to see if HYBE continues it in future comebacks. I think its more of them having "siren" like qualities with their leftover angelic powers. We see in the Blood Altar lore that ENHYPEN dream about the female lead and are drawn to her, much like men are drawn to sirens by their angelic voice. Also, the powers of the female lead could be the remaining angelic powers that are hinted at within Le Sserafim. Another reference I'd like to call upon another reference in the Fallen book series by Lauren Kate. In the series, Lucinda (which means light) is a fallen angel who was originally cast out of heaven for falling in love with another angel, Daniel. She has amnesia and thinks she is human but only remembers her past lineage when she meets and falls in love with Daniel every 16 years before she dies and is reborn for the cycle to continue. HYBE obviously has made no direct reference to this, but I think its shows an important stereotype for fallen angels to have amnesia and believe they're human. I think it could also be an interesting idea if Le Sserafim follow a similar pattern of rebirth and amnesia. Another similarity I've seen is the motorcycle teasers and the anime Durarara!!. The cat like-helmet, black leather clothes, and motorcycle all deeply resemble Celty from this anime, who is a dullahan. A dullahan is an Irish spirit of death that has no head. Don't think there is a concrete connection, but the resemblance is uncanny. Okay enough ranting with different theories, just thought I'd add some ideas. Also disclaimer, I have never actually read the webtoons from HYBE this is just facts I remember from hearing about it on social media.

I know this comment is old, but I'll comment anyway. I wanted to point out that in the TXT universe, a "blue flame" or something like that is always referred to as magical powers, so... Connected universes🤔🤔

I've been interested in this group but haven't looked into it at all. This all sounds extremely interesting! I've never read The Little Mermaid and has no idea it was so deep! (No pun intended 😅) Thank you you your always thorough analyses. Now I'm really excited for this debut.

So I was right about the mermaids part lol (The World is my Oyster, The Great Mermaid, and all that.) Is Le Sserafim doing the Crimson Heart story too? (Never mind you talk about it in your new video on the "Fearless" mv and song lol) It was meant to be Gfriend doing this concept right. But this was what they were probably meant to do for their concept before they left the company. I remember saying something about mermaids before when I mentioned the Muses from Gfriend's music video. I was wondering if they were going to use the concept of mermaids/sirens.
