Hay que ver los contextos. Liga jugó más "refrescado" el Mundial de Clubes; ganó la Libetadores a mitad de año y jugó el Mundial en Diciembre. En 2015 River se enfretó al Barça que era una maquina Neymar-Suárez-Messi. Encima el primer gol del Barça debió ser anulado por mano de Messi y el segundo gol fue más error de la defensa que mérito de Suárez. En 2018 River jugó el Mundial de Clubes sin estar en Argentina por casi medio mes. Encima audrió una gran presión mediática por la final de la Libertadores. Eso no quita el mérito de Liga y que River pudo haber jugado mejor.
