I appreciate the honesty. And I think the most important point here is regardless of genetics train grow and become the best version of yourself. The only competition you have is you. It's great to admire other physiques and be inspired. But just remember to be realistic and you be suprise after time how effectively you achieve your goals but you'll even more pleased when you surpass them and set new goals. Train hard and train smart. Leave the ego behind and just bring your will to be the best you.

But genetics can SEVERELY limit your ability to grow depending on what you have. Most of you guys are thinking "oh so it takes you twice as much training to achieve the same results? So what? Work twice as hard then!". When that is not the case for actual genetic deficiencies. If someone has Marfan's syndrome, a connective tissue disease caused by genetics, then they literally have no capacity to weight lift and gain muscle. Doing so only destroys their body faster because they don't have the proper proteins to rebuild the muscle. If someone with Marfan's starts serious weight lifting in order to get those gains, all that will happen is their body will deteriorate and their aorta will enlarge to the point where they'll suffer from a dissection. Basically it just speeds them up to an early grave. So you might think "okay, well at maybe people with Marfan's in an exception. But that sounds rare! Surely someone is hard pressed to come across someone with Marfan's". Well it's not that simple. Marfan's affects 1 out of 5000 people. That's at least 70,000 people in the US who can't bodybuild (based on cases it's probably closer to 100,000-200,000), or 1.5 million people world wide. And this is just one connection tissue disease. There are several others.

Absolutely true! I can see many people comparing to each other. Some of them are training from 1 year, but with amazing results, other are working out like 4 with totally different results. They got strainght, but they are smaller than those who are new in the gym. And remember guys - you MUST find the type of training that suits to your body type. Arnold's program won't help you, if you dont have his exact body type. Rony Coleman's won't help you either. Read something about your body type, and make your own program. Don't pay for programs which are already created from some bodybuilding influencer, you will throw your money into the ocean. Peace!

Hello Lazar, this is Julio César from South América, Peru. Since the quarantine started I have been training at home and adapting objects in order to have weight for training. For example ... gallons with water and a piece of broomstick, I managed to create dumbbells. With a wooden bench, a flat bench. With elastic dog ropes I made resistance bands. I watch tutorials on KZread and adapt exercises to achieve muscle contraction. I jog to replace it with cardio and abdominal exercises on the floor to take care of my waist. I am a dietitian nutritionist with that I take care of my diet and continue in the care process. A hug. I hope to hear from you.
