Thanks to you i bought a small property 4 hours away from my city and plan to build something there, and it is on an incline, on a mountain. You guys inspires
I am always impressed how shallow the footings are over in the us, over here in brazil they are about 5 times deeper at least. But we build everything out of concrete and bricks, it is really rare to find a house made out of wood.

In South Louisiana, our footings are deeper than they are digging. Their building codes are obviously different than ours, too! You're in Brazil - wow!!

Lucas, we should learn how they build and try something here in Brazil. All technology behind their construction inspire us to have less wasted materials and houses with better quality. Thanks to this amazing crew!!! My third season with you guys!!! Learning everyday!!! Greetings from Brazil!!!

I mean seriously....how beautiful is that place! What a place to eat lunch! Looking forward to the new series.
I used to work for a foundation repair company out of Burlington and we had a job up in the Nantahala area and it was an adventure just getting to the job site. I love that area! Beautiful.
Groovy logo for this series. Looks like a Nat'l Park patch.
I wish I could work with you guys in that kind of environment!! I’m a 2nd year carpenter doing most remodeling work in the city. Working in the woods sounds amazing
Amazing pretty place to build. Impressed by all the care in getting the footings on firm ground.
The Nantahala River has to be one of my favorite rivers to go down. I'm going to enjoy the build, views, and Jay's great jokes👍🏼
Excited to see the final product, can't wait!
Zippity doo dah, this is going to be great. We lived in Gatlinburg for a year, & have been to Clingmans Dome a lot of times!! Such beauty to see from the top!!It's so cool y'all can see it from where you're building. 😍
16:16 I didn't know the 2nd highest was in NC. Small world, we used to have a camp near Clayton GA and would shop in Franklin. Now our new build has a view of Mt. Washington in NH
Just discovered your channel on KZread! I’m an irrigation contractor in Florida for over 40years, and have built several homes for myself and others. Love watching you guys. Brings back memories from the many projects I’ve been involved with. Merry Christmas to you all.
Dude....I've used those tapes a million times and never once knew about the other side being different til just the other day. Im glad someone else has done it....lol.
Next playlist to binge starting tomorrow morning, the farmhouse took 3 days to watch through so lets see how long it takes to watch all of these videos
Beautiful setting! Love those Smokey Mountains ! Keep up the good work fellas,Looking forward to the new build.
When I refer to you guys, I tell my wife... "You know, my crew down in NC!". You guys are truly an amazing crew. I inspire to one day have a crew like yours. Keep up the great work!
This is my second series i'm going to watch..
Glad to see you on a new project. I really enjoy. I'm waiting for video number 3. Thank you.👌
Aaahh it's here! I loved the little walkthrough of the structural and the floor plan for the intro 👏
Ok! Let's go and GL with the build will follow u closely....
Good night Perkins Builder's. Wow nice to see the new series. Can't wait for the fun to start. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

Exciting! It's such a great experience watching you break ground again.
I really loved watching this guy's.. Goodluck and keep safe always
Hell yeah season 3 babyyyyyy
It’s great to watch your videos! Looking forward to each one up to the last one when complete with another beautiful home!
Another day in the mountain. Another built. This is going to be the 3rd house for me to watch till its done.
loved the last build ... looking forward to this one!
We used lime spread with a coffee can spread right on the line when digging footings. Then we just held one tooth on the bucket outside of the line. Hold 2 teeth if that makes you happier. lol As for the line, use a stick or better yet a 3/4x3/4 pc. for wrapping the line. top to bottom wrap, not round and round. Our lines lasted for years. We didnt check every stake with a lazer or transit/level. We pulled lines from one to another and drove them to the line. With a nail driven in the top and using a line, one guy can do it himself even without using the lazer. And we used wood stakes in order to do that. Thats how we poured our concrete floors also, no screeds. Wood stakes about 5’ apart, we raked the concrete to the stakes then used a 4’ jitterbug to flatten it out. Then bullfloat it and hand trowel when ready for finishing. Drive the stakes down a bit while finishing. We did machine trowel the larger areas. The percentage we saved on doing our own concrete was larger than the percentage we made by building the house. Same was not true by laying our own block however. OK if your just doing one house at a time, but otherwise, sub it out. Yes, you can use rebar for stakes if you prefer. lol Yes also to the highest elevation on the East coast being near Asheville NC. Even higher than Mount Washington in New Hampshire. But, if youve ever driven to the top of Mount Washington on a clear day, you will never believe thats true.
Love your work. Great team. Your windows are great to build passive homes. We don’t do that yet in Australia. Our building industry has gone to crap now I have retired. Best builder in Caulfield. I’m into your builds but big tip-- build for yourself- you will travel the world as my family did 5 times. Love your videos cheers
The view is fabulous
I like watching your shows. Here I am again... :) Don't you guys ever quit. I put this on and do my drawings. It's like watching an all day movie. Good stuff.
Nice new view! Crazy how close to the edge this build will be
ITS FINALLY HERE!
Loving these daily build videos. Learn something new every day
Cant wait to see this series but for now got to play hurry up and wait till the next episode
Exciting to see a new project begin to take shape. I've been planning my own house build so it's great to become familiar with the ins and outs of the whole process so I can understand my builder better!
Aaaaaand here we go! AWESOOOOME.
You guys are pumping out these videos. I love it!!!
Vinyl tapes like that can also stretch over time I've been told. We always use steel 100 footers.
I can only imagine how much extra time and effort it takes to film the videos, let alone making full build series with them. I think a speak for everyone when I say I am STOKED for this series 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I have watched all the series and I can’t get enough!! I love to watch the content!! You guy’s are close, get along awesome, down to earth, and just HONEST and that’s hard to find these day’s. My husband is a contractor and a school teacher he retires from school in one year which will be awesome! He has a full time work crew now that works for him building. I absolutely LOVE the views you guy’s have given in the last series and this one. I love the area y’all are in! Clemons Dome is awesome view we have been up there several times and have been down the NannaHala… lol I know I spelled that wrong… I can’t wait to see this when it is finished… are they going to be renting this house? Also nothing like Ray and Jay I can’t miss them either I have been close to being the first one on their channel before and y’all’s. You guy’s rock!! Stay awesome and honest! Your live you did was awesome as well. Love how you and your brother are so close you have got to have some PROUD parents!! Can’t wait for the next! See ya, then that is unless you go live.. hint hint!!😃

Yes keep the hype going! Looking forward to another jam-packed, entertaining series.
Even though I enjoyed the last series and the daily updates, I really like this cinematic style! The intro sequence is amazing! Keep up the good work!
What are you doing for septic on a tight site like that. Long pipe heading down the hill🤣?
Get a twig and roll the line around the twig in a elliptical way, turning the twig at the same time... save a lot time when reusing again Trust me 😅 Greatings from Portugal
I wish I had your energy. Well done!
As King Theoden once said... "and so It begins!" 😁👍 All the best mates!!
15:00: 5/8, then 1/2, then, 3/8, then 1/4, then 1/8... Americans and their weird way of measuring things. Looking forward for this new series, though...
Loved the last one! This one is starting off great!
This is my favorite part of the construction! Love watching your videos! I hope you get a helping hand with those videos, so you can visit the ski resort more often :)

Oh yes, un nouveau projet, trop contente 😀. 🇫🇷👋💋
What a beautiful view. But hey, if this series came before the mountain house, you wouldn't have been able to enjoy the river as much!
Can’t wait to watch the rest guys. The videos and the fun just keep getting better!
Loving this. Really wish you guys would build up here in NY!

Wow what a spot
I just love that you drink soda water!
Sweet new build, excited for this!!
Sure is pretty. Looks like the Amazon rainforest but I’d be afraid of landslides (like in Malibu) Too close to the edge for comfort 🤭 fun to watch
Such a lovely part of the world. ...only say this from the views you show. Impressive!
Good Therapy For my self watching ur videos 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻...u get to Learn A lots 🤙🏽🤙🏽🦾
No rest for the wicked ! And no easy days they say. Right in to the next series , great looking forward to it !
Good Morning from England! As you say it’s a shame to build a house there but if there is going to be one it’s best your crew do it. Stay well and we all look forward to watching it grow from the earth. Ian B.
Late replying, because I’ve had a busy summer. But, I was a Perkins subscriber before the house series’ began. Now my entire family watches. Its Friday night binge night baby!!! The footage, editing, music, humor, nuggets of wisdom, awesome array of characters (workers),and outright fun makes this youtube gold!!! Thank you Perkins Bros! I’ll miss…”ski-resort” and the newest hot sauce, but ready for whats new!!! (PS…throwing in my vote…I love Jamie’s rants- he’s a wizard! Don’t cut him off…to soon that is. Signing off, Bruce Family
Hell yeah, laying the footers

Just started building a house eerily similar to this one in the Pennsylvania mountains. This series has helped me immensely.
Excited for the new project! The plans look great. One small suggestion. :) If you swap the locations of the master bath and master closet, you can have a window in the master bath.

man, how do i say this. i am very happy to have found this. this help you offer by letting me watch you work is invaluable for me as i intend on building a home myself. i have no framed in 20 years and i need a refresher course, here goes! 55 videos is a stout amount to get started on. thank you for this effort, i hate making videos so i can respect your efforts!
I’m a concrete finisher but I work in commercial so this is excited stuff for me. Also I also roll my socks like that 😂😅. It helps keep my laces tied all day.
Third series here we go!! Guys i feel like the video quality is way better, especially the drone shots. Its that or watching in HD is the difference. Great work as usual. Love the videos. Keep 'em coming!! Love from India

I love watching your subscriber numbers go up. I found your channel and starting watching just a month ago and, the first time I took note of it, it was at 739K subscribers. Now it's at 744K -- that's 5,000 new subscribers since I subscribed! Woo-hoo!
what i’d do to work with these guys might be too much lol
what a Beautiful Piece of Land
We roll each string section up on a wood wedge from cutting stakes then you can jamb the wedge between the stake and the batter board. This of course if you use wood stakes and batter boards. Lol
Looking forward to this new series !!
I loved the farmhouse location but got to say, this is better. I also need to admit, I've borrowed your 'ski resort' shout out for when my tea mug is seen in shot. Hope you don't mind.
