As I have autism, I couldn’t sleep one night so I turned on this playlist and just doodled on procreate. I ended up making three characters: Rosemary, Daisy, and Cloud. They each had different things that made them unique in some way: Rosemary; missing foot, Daisy; blind and Cloud; a mixed skin tone (meaning, black skin with white splotches, found out it was a real genetic) that night I fell asleep peacefully knowing that I’m not the only one who’s unique (vent)

The skin condition ur describing sounds like vitiligo and when u said "found out it was a real genetic" it made me laugh, because I have it and it's so normal for me, it just really surprised me lmao (thats absolutly no hate btw)

I like to think my comfort characters are chilin' somewhere I can't see them, like in a room I'm not in, walkin in a street outside, sittin on the table right next to me while I'm not paying attention, imaginary things like that. Their abstract presence let me know that I can be chill like them too.

To everyone who's studying with this music: Checklist: • A bottle of water, at least liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate • Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time • Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone • a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well. & • Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone, a few pens, paper or whatever you need •Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy Reminder: After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me. You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book. I hope y'all had a good day, if not, that's okay too. My brother recently got sent to the hospital and I really needed this to calm down. Thank you for making me smile on one of the worst weeks of my life! I don't have a comfort character, but just lately I made my own! Her name is Luuyumi, she's 6'1 ( a gentle giant ) she likes hoodies no matter the weather, she has long brown hair that reached down to her feet, and although it usually drags against the ground, it's never dirty or tangled. She lets people braid her hair when they're stressed, and she's good at listening. She has vitiligo, and scars covering her body, but that doesn't seem to bother her, she has this weird presence, her voice is so gentle and kind. She has a soft face, and rosy cheeks. And dazzling emerald eyes that although are beautiful, they're just the right shade of green to set your heart aflutter. She's a god of flowers and trees. ( Quick Story ) The wind brushed branches out of the way for this tall child.. It seemed as if even the trees made way for her. She was majestic. In a way no human should. it was mesmerizing. Her hair was brown, but a strange thing happened when she stood in the light. Even you knew that the gods had favoured her. She was.. *beautiful..* The tall girl steps out of the brush and the wind brings her hair to the side of her face, revealing her eyes.. her eyes.. they were gorgeous, a unimaginable shade of green, she held out her hand, a muted green glow emitting, you look up at her as she gives you a beautiful smile and holds out her hand, in which a small flower necklace sits. You look up at her again, and she nods. Attatching the necklace to your neck. " Thank...- " You yawn, before feeling yourself fall asleep. You're not in control of your body, but its not scary.. Its comforting. You know you can trust her. She sets you down gently, and slowly, and sweetly stalks back into the forest from where she came from. You feel yourself relax for the first time. And you know that she'll look after you. " -...you.. " And finally.. you drift off into a meaningful sleep. Knowing you're safe.

this made me cry. I can't remember the last time I did. it's been at least 3 years since I've had any actual friends (I'm 14). Even though we were toxic to each other, I wish I didn't part ways with her. we really had the same dynamic we couldn't live without each other. Now I fill the gaps with comfort characters and oc. I really regret not getting over my discomfort when I touched/was touched by someone because I didn't even give her a hug. the closest thing to that was when I held her hand while running beside a moving train. our friendship really felt like a dream.

The first and second song are just perfection [love all but this are the best]✨ btw on halloween I was outside with a friend of mine. And we meet this girl her name is Samantha and we were the day after halloween outside with her and she gave me this warm and nice feeling. We wrote in the night on discord and she wrote that she is having feeling for me. I was stunned and replied that I have feeling for her too. She asked me out and omfg were just dating now. I’m super happy, I’m going to meet her Saturday again. I saw her the whole week except today bc she weren’t allowed to go outside :( it was just love on the first sight ❤

Just met a girl who only speaks spanish. For whatever reason I decided to use a translator. I've never really done that for any other spanish speaker, but when I did it opened my eyes. She's such a nice person, it really makes me want to learn the language just to connect with her.

I can still wander around in the forests of my mind, but in a much better, healthier way, and I get things done and take care of myself. :]

​​@@Frogixiall Oh I'm glad I was a catalyst for learning for you. I do hope you'll research more about it and find ways to cope with it, if you struggle with it too. As a very sensitive, creative, hyperactive-minded person, I still struggle with prioritizing my real life over the fantasy ones in my head, but we learn from experience, right? Every time I fall into a cycle of neglecting my outward, real-life needs, I tend to turn to escapism to ignore those problems, and then everything turns cruddy, and I only want to escape and avoid it more. It takes a little practice and awareness to avoid those vicious cycles, especially when they are related to trauma (and, boy, don't get me started on the trauma you aren't even aware of) but with the help of others, it gets easier. Having some people who at least understand a bit of why you may do the things you do, who live around you, is very helpful, because sometimes they can see things you don't even see yourself, and they can help keep you accountable. "Ὅσον ζῇς, φαίνου, μηδὲν ὅλως σὺ λυποῦ· πρὸς ὀλίγον ἐστὶ τὸ ζῆν, τὸ τέλος ὁ xρόνος ἀπαιτεῖ." (The Seikilos Epitaph, one of the oldest complete written songs we still have today. I recommend you give it a listen- it's beautiful.)

Can a comfort character be a person that you're friends with?... and let alone somebody online. (We are vr friends) She's somebody who makes me feel happy, she brightens up the room with her laugh. We are so connected that I would protect her with my life. If there were a such thing as soulmates, but not with love, then she'd be that. I love her like a sister... we are so connected I'd tell her things that I'd tell none of my other friends.. She was there even when we were going through stuff... I love her. She means everything to me. I imagined the first two songs with me sitting there, holding her, singing her to sleep... Her mom even planned for me to come meet her this summer! Last night I had a dream that Ranboo hugged me. It was the happiest I've been for a while. I give hugs all the time, to friends who are hurting, but the only hugs I ever receive burn like half-dried embers, hugs or handshakes or absent pats on the shoulder from my guardians. This hug felt real, though. He was accurately tall as shit, since I know someone who's that tall in my life, and couldn't wrap his arms around my 5'6" self to save his life. He had his mask on and a grey/purple, blocky hoodie. It was the happiest I've been since I last saw my best friend in June of 2022. How pathetic is that?

It's not! I had multiple dreams of Wilbur/quackity and I think it's because they're my comfort streamers. I love their personalities and I just can't find any friends with the same traits, they're very unique and I think if more people were like them I'd be a total extrovert lol. I made a whole comfort UNIVERSE where the ground is made of clouds and atop a small hill is a huge pink castle with purple turrets and gold accents!! It started as a place in a story i’m writing, but then I started thinking about it when I was feeling down :) My comfort character is the princess that lives in the castle, she’s supposed to be a version of my main OC in my story. She’s got a sort of soft aesthetic going on :)

I am playing this just as comforting cuddle music for my girlfriend. She isn’t a comfort character but she sure is my comfort. I love her for everything she is. I cry tears of joy at the thought of her. I can’t imagine a life without such a beautiful lady beside me. She has her arm around me and her head rested on my chest. I try to express myself through music but I just can’t. She left me speechless a long time ago.

Same here! ^^ Him and all of his counterparts are wonderful, and it may sound a bit silly, but they genuinely helped me though life, just by giving me something to love.

This hit me so hard in the guts, because one, when I was younger I used to listen to over half of these songs when I was in deep amount of anxiety or sadness in the worst times. And honestly when the Rebecca sugar, adventure time, Khai dreams, etc phases happened- this took me to a whole different level of nostalgia that felt sort of like a melancholy tone? But this is such a great playlist, thank you for making this

This really helped me calm down and kind of just chill. Everybody, if you feel stressed, drink some water, eat something, rest and know your feelings are valid

The v o i c e s tell me how I'm making it up for attention too, and yes, it's pretty much stressful for me too. Hi adhder here I didn’t even think I had adhd I thought everyone just hated me because I was weird but I have adhd and honestly if you get diagnosed then you know you do have it and if you don’t then now you know it’s always best to look into it and if you’re wrong then so what.

my house is quite weak which scares me because of how windy it is here, and in my area I often hear gun shots and mine bombs, though this playlist rly helped me block out the noise and feel a little safer every time I listen. Thank you

Scrolling through this comment section and seeing that other people were inspired to clean their room with this and how they created oc comfort characters just like I did is so nice. It's such a minimal thing but its still relieving seeing I'm not on my own even with the small stuff.

A classmate of mine sent me this playlist earlier since she knew that I've been upset about my other classmate making fun of me for having a certain type of comfort characters ever since the first day of school. These comfort characters are the only ones keeping me away from actually committing suicide so it was saddening that I had to be made fun of just because of how different they are to that classmate's tastes. I don't think I'd like to specify which comfort characters they are since I'm afraid I'll be made fun of for it as well, but one of them is in my profile picture as of December 24 of 2022 (a.k.a right now). I know that some fans of the franchise don't really like the character in my profile picture because of the personality he develops in the later installments and how much of an unecessary character he is, but something about him makes me think that he is unique and quite loveable. Although, my classmate makes fun of him in front of me and knows that I like him dearly. Another character of the same franchise only appeared in at least 2-3 games (with the most latest appearance being just a skin themed after her) but I always found her unique, before the remake got released even. I kinda feel like I'm just insane when I admit that I never found those anime eyes she used to have so creepy. I mean, I'm probably kinda ok with that design just because I used to draw with huge ass eyes before the remake came out. But then, despite her lack of appearances, she manage to still have a special place in my heart.. for almost 4 years now. And, I'm glad that another classmate decided to send me this playlist. I'm thankful that you created this playlist. I didn't feel like crying at first at all but suddenly I started releasing so much tears when the 3rd song played. That classmate making fun of me and my comfort characters really impacted my mental health a lot that it utterly hurts me a lot just remembering the negative things they said about me and my comfort characters. So thank you very much, really.

I just wanna say just in general if someone makes fun of you intentionally then I think their opinion is invalid. cool people don’t make fun of others.

My comfort character has to be sunny, from wings of fire. It’s probably a weird comfort character to have, but if you meant from a show, it’s Kurapika Kurta from HxH. When I read book 5 and realized how she felt, being ignored and stuff, I immediately know how she felt. My whole time at my school, for 3 years, everyone forgets about me. They forget I’m in the room, they forget I exist. I honestly don’t mind, but it can hurt from time to time, but that’s OK. I will just ignore it like I always do :)

Oh cool! I wanna share mine too! My comfort characters are Nugget, Carla and Monty from Kindergarten 1 and 2! Carla and Monty just became my comfort characters bc of Carlonty being my comfort ship :D Nugget is just like me fr. The Kindergarten fandom remains small after 2019 but it's still kicking! >:D

We're sharing comfort characters now? Mkay, well I have a few that I still love. 1: Severus Snape from Harry Potter. He's such a blunt man, cruel at times, but he at least kept students safe from blowing up the classroom. 2: Fluttershy from My Little Pony. She is such a relatable character to me, quiet and nice and loves animals. 3: Magnus Rasmodious from Stardew Valley. He practices magic and he's such a cool character to talk to, even if the dialogue gets repetitive at times. 4: Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon. I could go on for hours about the dragons in there, and how Hiccup is simply an amazing person. 5: I made this character up, but his name is Eli. He's got slivery, long white hair that he keeps in a braid, and his eyes are grey-blue. People can never decide between which of the two his eye color is, which both amuses and exasperates him Eli. He's got a face scar that's in the shape of an x, and it goes just above one eye and across the bridge of his nose, while the other part of it crosses just about the bridge of his nose and goes just underneath his right eye. He wears glasses that are oval shaped, and he normally has something around his neck, but it's not too tight or too loose. There's a metal ring inside there that protects his neck. He's generally a nice person, but quiet because he doesn't really want to draw attention to himself. I could go on for hours about any of them if asked... Particularly about dragons...

This gives like: sitting in a pile of flowers with 3 squishmellows and wilbur is playing the guitar while you and quackity sleep soundly on the flowers while bees buzz around

It's 5am and I haven't fallen asleep yet. It's happening again. I'm unable to fall asleep, nomatter if I get into bed at 1am. I don't understand why but this is comforting for me. I feel in colours and this playlist is Cream and Sage green. It also feels like putting headphones and laying in the middle of a field and just immersing in the music and amasing weather. Just being in the moment. Thank you, its hard to find a playlist that just let's me emmerce into the songs. You have made a truly impeccable playlist

Just listening to this, makes me feel like I'm laying in a patch of flowers with Saki Tenma from Project Sekai, and it feels like she's singing these songs to me.

Crying to this because finnaly after 2 weeks of my friend abandoning me and feeling outcasted from the freind group, there’s been apologizing and things are getting better and I told my crush I like them and I now have a partner ❤

The first time I ever heard "please never fall in love again" was back in 2018. It was recommended to me by a friend while I was still finishing up elementary school. I learned it and would play it all the time, even outside of my school at break. It became a huge comfort song for me. Hearing it again in my last year of high school, this time as a cover by a creator who has had a huge influence on me over the past couple years... It brought back all of those memories of playing guitar outside, barely able to play the strings right when my hands would become numb due to Canadian winter. I had no clue this cover of the song even existed. Hell, I was even starting to forget the song itself existed. I think I'm going to go try and relearn it now. Thank you for an amazing playlist

Okay for some odd reason I’ve been adoring angel dust from hazbin. The fact I feel completely safe and understood by the character in a way lets me have joy. Blake really did an awesome job with Angels voice

That happens to me to! I love calming playlists but they always make me feel like crying. Personally they make my thoughts just go away for a bit and it gives me time to process my emotions and deteriorating mental health.

"Last cup of coffee" made me think of my best friend/soulmate who i recently lost. She was on 34 when she passed :( we had made a promise to grow old together. we were going to love together and take care of each other despite not being a a couple (soulmates dont have to be a coupe btw) and then this happened. I dont want to go into detail as its still very raw and painful, but this song just made me think of our promise to each other and now that will never happen.

When I listen to this, I feel like they’re right there beside me. Comforting me when I need them

I write characters. I’ve made quite a few stories, some written out and some just in my head but every one of them has something in common. There is a character I project myself onto. Every single one. This playlist made me think of all those fragments of myself, sitting with me. I’ve never thought of them in that way before. We are all hurting in some way, despite my attempts at giving them happy lives they all share my mind so they still feel alone. I’m someone with a “if I’m breathing I’m fucking fine.” Type of demeanor and my characters have the same. The idea of all of us just sitting in silence together knowing exactly how much pain we are in is oddly comfortable. Normally I’d imagine a one of the many characters I’ve made in my mind over the years, it’s how I’ve coped and comforted myself since childhood. But every version of myself, simply acknowledging each other, is an odd but safe seeming thought. /mental dump (thinking out loud)
