I love the diving story, Pete, and the way you stuck up for your daughter. It was hilarious, but also heartfelt and I’m so proud of your daughter for being able to stand up for herself as well. That’s so hard as a woman and especially as a little girl.

Bad teachers are the worst and they make wee kids lose interest in doing that which they most love to do! Great advice. Pete, I'd like to add that I think it'd be good to see if you can reach out to the head coach who has been absent as of late and file a complaint against his assistant and express how you didn't appreciate the treatment you and your daughter received. And then maybe see if you and Jackie can find another swimming school with solid trainers where Sadie can enroll in. I'm thinking, aside from this experience, she enjoys swimming.

Finally…there’s a word we can use when you bring guests onto your podcast………”wooden spoons”. You don’t need any “wooden spoons” on your show. The magic Pete & Sebastian have (by themselves) is priceless comedy. Having your “wooden spoons” onboard especially a few broken”wooden spoons” is ridiculous. Why do you feel you need to add something new to your podcast when nothing was broken? Some of these “wooden spoons” might be funny on stage, but they certainly don’t make your show any funnier than when it’s just the two of you. No more cookware at the Pete & Sebastian Show!

@@LauraRyan2007I think the cast peaked from episode 250 to 350. That was just before the time Serafina was born. Sebastian’s ascension has made it a little awkward. They started at the same level but now Sebastian sells out MSG on the regular. It feels like Sebastian only does it out of loyalty to Pete now.

Sebastian, I’m sorry your Dad’s visit was not the way you hoped it would be. I can relate, being 75 myself & it’s not that we think we know better than others, I think it’s the fact that we know our time is limited & it makes us angry & grumpy therefore it carries over to all aspects of our life. We look in the mirror & don’t like what we see, we sometimes can’t relate to the younger generation because they speak in terms we’re not familiar with so we feel left out. It’s all very scary to be facing mortality a little closer everyday. Please don’t take his negativity personally. It’s not you he’s frustrated with, it’s old age. I’m sure he is very proud of you & so thankful for the times he gets to spend with you & your family. It’s hard being old. 😢

I was at Pete’s club show with my girl and his opening act was so painfully unfunny that I contemplated booing or walking out (which I’ve never done). I also saw the wooden spatulas on sale after. hahaha Pete was hilarious though.

And then when we got to Pete’s show and he had the same opening comic. My girl and I looked at eachother like “oh god, not this guy again”. He was so bad that it makes you question why you even paid for a ticket haha. He told the same douchey/fratty jokes as last year and bombed. Anyway, unfortunately we went to that first show on Thursday before Pete cut the openers set length. It wasn’t Pete’s fault, but it was painful to sit through.

Sebastian I would really like to see you not talk down to Pete. You are not superior to him. In fact your behavior of superiority is probably why you are always complaining that you are never invited to things. You’re the reason the ratings are not better.

Pete was right about the dive. The kid wasn't getting a chance. The instructor was single minded where Sadie was concerned. He should file a complaint about him only if Sadie wants to be on the team again.
