I think the reason why Dump hasn't been jailed is that these judges know that his lawyers would find a MAGAt judge on an appeals court who would just release him, making the judge who jailed him look like a fool. The only way to jail him and keep him jailed, is a guilty verdict.

If Judge Merchan in NY with the Stormy Daniel case treated trump like everyone else and tossed him in jail pending trial after he posted an image of himself swinging a bat at the DA's head there would not have been all the threats made over the year and a few less people hurt. My great-grandfather was also a Boston police officer (pre WW II). He was Scottish and had to lie. He said he was Irish because that was the only way to get a job as a Boson police officer.

Wow, Lawrence, you are an amazing story teller. I love the way you can weave two or three different, yet related, scenarios together. Your dad sounds like he was quite the character.

Lawrence O'Donnell, you're good at opinion pieces, such as they are. Nobody can approach Sorkin's CAPTAIN HINDSIGHT, but you're as close as it gets, down to the accent.

The guy who wrote his first book for him, says he doubts trump has “ever” read a book! That he’s not capable! He’s like a kid with no attention span!! Couldn’t even read the National security briefing he was supposed to everyday! They had to dumb it down for him!

From what I read, his staff tried various things to induce Trump to read the briefing, including making several mentions of Trump by name and having many full color pictures. (Sigh.) This is the genius of MAGA, a guy who only recently (according to a speech he gave) figured out that the word "us" could be read when the acronym "US" is used.
