Hi mr. Roy, fantastic playing as always! I definitely think that this new technology and your technical (and musical) genius are a match made in heaven. The digital sound on the guitar will open the floodgates to even more speed, more effortless playing and greater musical complexity. This is just an idea suggestion although I'm not sure whether it would actually work or not. Since your legato technique doesn't involve the use of the pick, what are your thoughts on the idea of using the fingers of your picking hand for hammer-ons as well? You can experiment with extreme intervals this way and do some crazy position shifts, for example such as jumping between the 1st and the 15th fret by switching between the fretting hand and the picking hand. Cheers, Maestro!!

I passed your message onto Roy. He told me to say thank you and that he has been working on his two handed playing, but he has quite a lot of practice to make it fluent. His pick hand has mainly been used for flamenco fingerstyle and pick. There will be a video on his tapping progress in the coming months :-)

@@LawofThree Thank you for the reply and for passing on my comment. I'm not suggesting that two handed tapping should become a primary mode of playing. Mr. Roy can play pretty much every kind of pattern with the fretting hand. It's just that the right hand might allow you to cover large fret distances without having to move the left hand back and forth as much with some patterns where all the notes are 2 or 3 octaves away from each other. This is just a random idea suggestion, of course. I respect your vision 100% no matter what you do. Again, thank you for passing on my comment to Mr. Roy, sir. You guys are unbelievable! Cheers!

@@billy1998vn Understood and thank you! Roy dabbled a little in the 80’s with tapping but focused his energies instead on Classical and Flamenco right hand techniques instead. He felt that served him better creatively. He is looking at other options all the time. I’ll make sure to pass your message on. He is extremely busy recording at the moment. Expect new footage very soon! Best regards.

I can get my head around the speed of your fingers but it's the speed of the position shifts that blow me away. Is it a seperate discipline? Presumably, there's no wiggle room at all at that speed because you wouldn't have time to compensate with finger adjustments. Did it all develop together? Anyway, nice to finally see you gaining some KZread traction
