Here we go again June 2024 and I’m still listening to this since it came out in the 90’s!!!! They don’t make it like this anymore

I"m 36 yrs old now and i remember this song when i was young going through DCFS custody and we lost our mother to crack cocain i never had faith until i herd this song. im grown now i have kids and i still cry when ever i hear this song i think of my mother. I love this song so much that i will be singing it at my church this sunday.

I feel you. This was my granddaddy's favorite songs. I used to sing it to him all the times when he was in the hospital dying. And I sung it for his funeral. So my eyes are never dry on this song!

There is something so intimate about worshipping the Lord and it having ties to family. There are many worship songs that remind me of my father because we loved listening to them together. It went from secular music to worship after we both got saved. Like another commenter mentioned singing to a grandfather in hospital-I too sung to my dad in the hospital as he was ill and dying. It was hard. But I'll never forget it and I think it brought him some comfort. God bless you all. And may He heal our grieving hearts.

When I lost my father 27 years ago I thought I lost everything but Jesus Christ showed me how to live my life without my father I used to go to his grace and say why dad you got in that car I questioned him but Jesus Christ showed me better he said do not question your father he didn't know when I lost him I lost everything I had to tell my sister dad gone home in your better play with Jesus Christ my brother cry so much and I cry with me I said Jesus Christ how far I'll be home with him I love him and I miss him so much brother brother said I know and I do too we went to his grave everyday but I feel we have to stop but don't send noises don't stop we went and go and talk about things great when you go can still we still go I said don't cry cuz you're crying you and get upset so we go there and talk to Dad and on Christmas and Thanksgiving days and love him still bye Dad we love you you know you and help with Jesus Christ and you're saying will be with us forever and love you always

This was one of my granddaddy's favorite song. I'd sit in his hospital room for hours sometimes. And I held his hand when I knew the end was near. I sang this as he drifted away to heaven. Your hearing is the last of your senses to go when you're dying. He went so peacefully while stroked his hair. And I sang it again for his funeral in front of all my family who had no earthly clue I could sing.😉

I was Born Again in 2007. That winter was severe. I feed the birds every day but this day it was a blizzard, -25° & high winds. Asked JESUS if there was any sense in me trying to feed the birds 'today'. Went to the window & there were a few sparrows trying to hold on. They could see seed from the day before under a fine sheet of ice... so l bundled up, got my mugs of seed & my walking stick. This is a swiss gear walking stick. It has a little round snowbasket thing at the bottom. 3" dai. I headed out to feed them. Put that seed on the ground & "WHOOSH!!!" It was gone. Said, "JESUS, what was the point?" As l turned to leave, l poked that walking stick into a snowbank behind me, "at random", then turned to look. It was dark in the drift so l reached down & grabbed a little wing & BAM!! Out came a sparrow! It was still dark so l reached in again & BAM!! Out comes another sparrow! They were in a few feet from the end & a foot deep into that drift. They had somehow gotten stuck in this drift in the night. Little pocket gophers tunnel underneath for the seeds too. One sparrow must've gotten in the tunnel, the other came too, & rat packed him in & the storm blew. Bet they were praying.... The LORD sent me out on the worst day of the year to set 2 little sparrows free. If l as been a quarter inch one way, it would be punched him into the snow deeper. One quarter inch the other way, never would've seen them. 2 CHRONICLES 18:33 JESUS says we're worth many sparrows, & that not one falls to the ground without FATHER knowing it. HE knows all about our struggles, where we are, lost or found. Tell your children..... It's JESUS. Can't keep a good man down! Randy S. 4/2/21 PASSOVER
