I just learned of her recently on KZread I think!!! I wasn’t aware of her before… I just found her rendition of Gloria on KZread, which I love!!! And I remember perhaps her addition or another rendition from years ago… i’m just wondering if people really think that they can be forever young and not die?!? Because it is not possible!!! I know I got involved years ago in some of the New Age stuff, and they were teaching that we did not have to die in some of the workshops or whatever that I did!!! But we all have to die someday!! But hopefully any and all people/brothers and sisters will have learned of the gospel of Jesus Christ before they pass on to the other side/die… That is the reason we all are here on this earth!!! We were sent here by Heavenly Father who sent Jesus Christ down to this earth to die for our sins!!! I love you all!!! Thank you.

I was fortunate to see Laura in concert and it was amazing!

Today i turned 28, I played this song to tell myself that my “old soul” is really getting old gradually. It’s soothing and I want to always remember today of the special songs I played. I wished to be forever young but not lived here on earth forever nor die young. 28 with lots of gray hairs, they often ask me “how young I am” instead of “how old I am”.

First time I heard her sing this song. Made me weep inside. Magic. She is missed.❤

Very sad, she passed away at a young age. It's always sad when we lose someone, young, age, family,friend or stranger. We are grateful for the gift that an artist left behind. Their music. Their lyrics. It gives us the feeling that they're always still with us in some form.

I saw her concert a male fan jumped on the stage while she was singing and kissed her . She kept on singing.

What an amazing rendition, encapsulating. It takes me back to my younger years... forever missed Laura,

Who needs an amplifier or a speaker when Laura Brannigan was singing? Her voice was so powerful.

This was her first appearance on the great music festival in Chile and received a silver torch. Thanks for the list of songs she performed, I didn't knew she did two shows. Fantastic interpretation, what an special and powerful voice she had! and looks radiant. Great video, wonderful song!, Thanks.

listening to just New Wave music in the early 80s, never did I lose sight (or hearing/listening for that matter) to such musicians like Laura, she's a part of the New Wave circle and I made a right choice since she is a New Waver for me. ^_^

amazing how a singer can take hold of a little place in your heart and stay there for all of your life, the grip seems to get stronger, I thought the pain of the loss would diminish with time but it still brings a tear to my eyes when I watch her sing, I can play her records and be alright but as soon as I watch a video the pain of the loss returns, may she have fun with Leonard wherever they have gone, bless them both.

We all are defined by the music in our teenage years and in the mid-80s across North America and Europe Laura was that definition. However she did much more than that: she took her music and entered the hearts of South Americans, such that today, right across South American countries those now entering middle age also have their teenage years defined by her. Cutting across boarders and political divides that politicians can only dream of and can never achieve. The power of her voice unmatched and a person above all else who was genuine and we can all admire.

Laura was a great singer ❣️ She left us to soon. I miss her music. She was one of my favorites to listen to.
